1/2 hour trying to adjust the height following directions. Can anyone help simplify? If not, it's going back

I found the silver button to adjust it underneath the velcro strap that holds the bottom piece when folded and not in use. My physical therapist and I worked on it for over a half an hour and then I read a review that told me where it was I hope this helps you!
