More than 2 years into the COVID pandemic, I have a long and dare I say handsome beard. Given the freedom to grow one since I no longer needed to be in office, I took the opportunity. However, as it continued to grow in length, the surgical masks provided by most places, and most of the cloth masks available for purchase with similar design typically caused the mask to ride up my nose and into my eyes since the mask couldn't get any purchase below my chin. I also felt they made the beard more itchy than it normally is. I tried things like buffs/neck gaters, but those put too much pressure on my nose.These "open bottom" masks, or what I call beard masks, are expensive for what they are. I can buy a cloth mask for less than half the price. But I'm not disappointed after having them. The nose band and custom fit ear loops eliminates the excessive pressure of the neck gater. The open bottom doesn't cause the mask to ride up my face. It also makes my beard less itchy, and rest more naturally once I take the mask off (no more beard dent). Unlike other masks, this one does seem less breathable, and I find myself taking deeper breaths to get some fresh air through the mask.If you have a beard, and are looking at this because you don't like how most masks work in opposition with your beard (beard dent, scratchy/itchy, mask doesn't fit on face right, etc.), if you can get over the price shock, you will likely be happy with this mask. Especially if you've tried other things (like bandanas, and buffs).

This has been my favorite mask out of all the beard masks I’ve tried. Why? Because it’s the perfect length. So many beard masks are too long and make you look like you are poking your head outta a scarf - I’m a burly big bearded dude, not a lady with a cold neck…. This mask gives plenty of coverage over the face and beard without messing up your handsome beard that you spent all morning straightening and putting beard oils in. The mask itself is light-weight and is fairly bearthable too so you aren’t over heating.If you have a beard, you should try this beard mask.

The fabric is very thick and makes my face sweat. But it keeps my chest length beard from getting messed up. Its a good option but not a great option.

This is the BEST mask I've worn so far, as far as breathability goes. If you are like me, you may not be able to tolerate a mask very well and hate these ridiculous mandates. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, my work decided to put out an all staff mask requirement with threat of termination for not complying. So, I knew that I would have to find something that wouldn't make me feel like I was suffocating inside a cotton prison. I met someone who had told me that bandanas are the best to use for breathing, but due to the population I work with, I cannot wear bandanas. I searched online and found this wonderful open bottom mask. I was actually excited about the inside pocket and the essential oil discs, but I still had a bit of an issue with the inside pocket blocking my nose, so I went ahead a ripped it out of both of the masks. That made all the difference for me at work. I was finally able to wear a mask at work for several hours in a row without getting a migraine. This may sound silly to others, but up until I wore this one, I could not wear a mask for more than an hour without getting dizzy and having a migraine follow right after. I love that I can breathe through the bottom of this one. I had even tried buffs before, but the fact that they didn't flare out and weren't open at the bottom still gave me so many issues.I'm so glad I found these masks, and I have received several compliments on it at work, and passed the information on!

So I ordered these masks as I have some from several months ago and love them. The ones I have from before have a metal wire inside the material to form around your nose. The new ones unfortunately do not. Because of this, I gave them three stars. The old version was better imo but I lost one and needed new ones. Oh well, maybe they will add that nose piece back in at some point. Otherwise, I really like the mask as it doesn't mess up my beard.

I'm autistic and hypersensitive to things touching my skin, so wearing masks has been a challenge for me. I wore a face shield in the beginning for work at my warehouse, but that attracts too much attention in public and most places don't count it anyway. I have a huge honker and every mask I've ever tried (trust me, there have been many) fell off my nose if I opened my mouth even a little bit. I'm also claustrophobic and sometimes the heat/moisture of my breath in normal masks makes me hyperventilate and have to pull it off to breathe deeply for a few seconds..I understand I'm getting enough oxygen and it's fine, but my anxious brain does not care and sends out the adrenaline and such anyway.Luckily, I saw this mask. It isn't an airtight seal around the edges and it is thinner tgan most so it may not be "ideal" but it is a great option for people like me who aren't conspiracy theorists and want to wear a mask, but have difficulty doing so for one reason or another. It may not let you in some places that are super anal about masking, but I'm in Tennessee where most people don't even take this thing seriously, so I've had no trouble yet. I'm fully vaccinated and eager for the booster shot to be available, but I still wear a mask where required. If push came to shove, I think I could wear a normal mask over my mouth and still use this mask to cover my nudist nose.The only complaint I have is the filter pocket. As others have pointed out, it is just a loose, thin piece of fabric and it does tickle my nose and get on my nerves. Luckily, it is only attached via some kind of heated adhesive and I was able to peel it off without damaging the mask.

Large enough to fit a mans face and comfortably but safely cover his beard and neck too. The filters make this mask actually effective to protect the average joe from airborne cooties. Also of importance the filter actually lines up with the wearers nose and mouth! I didn’t realize it came with minty inserts, my husband really got a kick out of that. The ear loops are adjustable, just all in all a great mask.

It is pretty nice and doesn’t ruin the beard. The only thing is the metal part keeps moving to the right! Also, it keeps poking my eyes

Toooooo thick to breath in. I cut the inside pockets out and still thick. It pushed the air down I to your beard, you keep breathing it back in then find yourself out of breath when you're talking

I work in health care, used this as stand by use mask and it failed. Material is so thin every breath it gets sucked into your nose and mouth. More so the filters pocket is too low not covering the nose area and this same pocket is flimsy sagging causing lump under nose. Bad quality and bad design. Too much money for low grade mask.

It fits good and is comfortable but when I washed them they fell apart. The sent thing is very strong which to me makes it useless
