No but, it is very easy to read when in the food.

No magnetic But it is great Easy to use

You don’t use it in the oven. You stick it in the food to test the temperature.

Can the Thermapen be used for checking fridge and freezer temperatures too?

Fridges, and freezers yes but you would need a substrate as it isn’t an air thermometer. It’s accurate enough to pop it in water and I know some businesses that use a tub of jelly to stick the probe in. In the freezer you can stick the probe between packs. But I would generally recommend a specific contact probe for freezers or infrared probe for freezer temperatures
