Zippers by the Yard (4yds) -Black

I was new to zipper tape by the yard, so I decided to start with ByAnnie since that brand is known for quality. I loved it! It's way easier to use than I had imagined and the zippers are very durable. Then, I decided to try a cheaper brand of ziptape that came with multiple colors. Ugh, that was not a good idea. Those cheaper zippers were impossible for me to get the pull onto and the tape was no where near the quality of ByAnnie. The other brand also didn't seem like they would last So, I returned them,and bought another color in ByAnnie. The tape is very long and comes with a bag full of pulls. I've made multiple tote bags with zipper pockets and recessed zipper enclosures with just one roll of this zip tape. You get a lot for your money with this product.

The color is a hot pink. The zippers are a size 4. Larger than the tiny zippers often sold by the yard. But smaller than the size 5 that is often used in bag making. These were perfect for the "Everything in its place" pattern I was making. I used the larger size 5 for the outside pockets (different seller) and these for the inside pages. Worked nicely. Easy to put on the pulls. As they are a little wider, easier to sew them into the project. Wished there was a little more on the roll. Only four yards. Also don't like that the color is listed as "lipstick" as lipstick colors vary.

I was hesitant to order this product because I had previously ordered zipper by the yard from another vendor and ended up sending it back, it was so cheaply made and did not work well. I decided to order this product from ByAnnie because I believe the company produces good products. I have already made a purse with this zipper product and both the zippers in the purse work beautifully. I also like that the pulls are a little larger and the zipper tape is slightly larger. Makes it easier to work with. I will definitely be ordering other colors.

Why did it take me so long to find out I can customize my zippers any length? I had to fuss a little to get the two ends into the slider after the original tails were gone. With a little help from a video, it worked. Nice product, much more economical than buying individually sized zippers.

You may find less expensive double zippers online, but none compare to the quality of By Annie zippers. They are thicker and feel so much better than the others I've seen. They are a lot easier to work with. You get what you pay for and these are the best. Highly recommend! Many assorted colors.

Love these zippers! Easy to put zipper pulls on and easy to sew into projects because of the wide tape. You can go to the ByAnnie YouTube and watch a video showing how to put the zipper plus on either direction.

I love to make bags of all sizes and these zippers are perfect because you always have the size you need! Zippers by the yard are the way to go.
