This is the bible for American comic books.The prices shown are thereabouts but with the volatile nature of collecting the prices are only a guide.I usually treat the dollar prices as pounds to get some where near the real values.Warning some collectors over value their comics.Some state rarity when there are many available.Don't be caught out.Also condition is everything in pricing so take care.This book is a great help to collectors and I am always using it.

I'm a long time comic collector, but asides from the odd few in my collection, I've never been particularly bothered about how much they are worth. Now, I've always been aware of Overstreet, and nearly bought volumes in the past, but never got round to it. However, thanks to successive lockdowns, "working from home", and not feeling 100% safe when venturing out into the real world, I've used some of them to organise my collection (mostly using an iOS app called CLZ Comics). I joined the Facebook group and I was intrigued by people posting the value of their books, so I figured "What the hey?" and bought myself an Overstreet Guide. Granted, we all know these guides are out of date when they hit the shelves, but like the reviewer "B" the book provides you with a good starting point. The book itself is very much like a telephone directory (remember them?) and of a similar quality. The pages are very thin and delicate, borderline flimsy in fact, which gave me pause before purchase, as I read how other buyers received damaged copies. I too have received damaged books from Amazon (all paperbacks), so I was worried that this would arrived mangled. Thankfully it arrived in near pristine condition. As mentioned, listed prices are out of date but do give you a general "ballpark" figure from where you can start from. It is also a nice surprise when you're checking our prices and some of your books are worth a premium. However, we all know that things are any ever really worth what someone is willing to pay.

Jammed pack with interesting comic book stories, color photos, comic book fans and writer's editorials, the value of just about every comic book, and a lot more! There are more than 1,000 pages so to squeeze in all of the information fonts are small. Having a magnifying glass comes in handy.
