BENFEI DisplayPort to DVI, Gold-Plated DP to DVI Adapter (Male to Female) Compatible for Lenovo, Dell, HP and Other Brand

Got this to connect a Dell 3007WFP monitor ( which is an exceptionally good monitor back from 2006) to a 2015 Macbook Pro and the product works exceptionally well. The Dell 3007WFP requires an active DUAL-DVI connector. This adaptor fit into a display port (not the mini display) so got a mini-display port to display port adaptor along with it (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNF0KF0?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) The combination of these two will enable one to successfully pair the monitor with the Macbook pro. 1. Easy to connect 2. No Artifacts 3. Supports all the other scaled resolutions (The Dell 3007WFP only supports 1280 * 800 and 2560 * 1600) but the adaptor allows for all the scaled down resolution without issues 4. No issues with HDCP I've tried a few other adaptors but this one by far seems to be the best overall.

Does exactly what it needs to do, and worked immediately after plugging in. Feels sturdy enough, and it feels great using this monitor at its intended 1440p resolution over the 1080p max the HDMI supported. The setup is as follows: Dell U2713HM 27" 1440p (2560x1440). I use the single built-in DisplayPort to connect my laptop, and I wanted a 2nd cable running to my desktop and not have to unplug and re-plug every time I switched devices. To solve the problem, I run a DVI-D cable from the monitor to this adapter (BENFEI DisplayPort to DVI DVI-D Dual Link Adapter). The DisplayPort part of the adapter plugs into my video card (Radeon 7900XTX), and the USB part of the adapter plugs into an open USB 3.0 port on the motherboard. Some things to note: 1. Make sure the cable you are using is a Dual-Link (DVI-D) cable, not a single link. Single link will not provide you 1440p resolution even with this adapter. 2. Make sure you're getting the DVI-D adapter. The product page allows you to choose either a single or dual link. The one with the USB is the only one that'll work.

I missed the RESOLUTION LIMITATION: "supports resolutions up to 1920x1080@60Hz" I have an Apple Cinema Display: 2560x1600 So, the screen image was displayed at low resolution. I should have chosen a different option on the same page: Dual Link, which supports 2560x1440

I was a little skeptical about this adapter because of the relatively low price and a few reviews that said they got defective units. Nevertheless, it works perfectly. One of my monitors had gone out and I ultimately traced the problem to a defective adapter. Plug this one in. The monitor immediately came to life. Full resolution. Excellent picture quality. And it appears to be sturdily made. One reviewer gave it one star because he said it "jammed" in the port on his computer. It's important to understand that these are locking connectors. One side of the male connector has a ripped tab. In order to remove the connector you have to press in that tab in order to release it. It's very easy to miss this fact if you're not familiar with this type of connector. It is really basically impossible to get stuck. This is really a good value for the money.

This part works great for my old monitor. Just what I needed.

Kvalitétskänslan finns där men fungerade inte för mig, får ingen bild av någon anledning när jag kopplade från datorns grafikkort DP uttag till skärmens DVI men den syns i NVIDIAs kontrollpanel.... väldigt märkligt vet ju att det är INTE är en dubbelriktad omvandlare och kan inte överföra signaler från DVI till DisplayPort... frågan är då är min gamla Benq monitor i behov av dubbelriktig omvandlare om nu sådant finns, önskar man kunde få kommentarer/svar här på frågan om de hela.

Der Adapter-Stecker diente dazu, einen etwas neueren MiniPC mit Display-Port an einen älteren Monitor anzuschließen, der nur DVI-Ports bietet. Es gibt für mich bei diesem Artikel nicht mehr zu bewerten als: Eingesteckt, funktioniert. Stecker tut, was er soll.

Sure saves on having to replace my 2 DVI monitors. The adapters work great, enabled me to use my 2 existing DVI monitors and hook up to my new video card which is Display Port output. no issues at all

Funciona perfectamente desde el primer momento. Lo uso para conectar un segundo monitor con entrada DVI y la imagen se ve nítida, sin cortes ni parpadeos. El conector es firme y los materiales se sienten de buena calidad. Muy recomendable si necesitas pasar de DisplayPort a DVI sin complicaciones.
