great marshmallow root that works!! (& lead is naturally occurring in soil- some info 1st)
First, let's address the elephant in the reviews-- If you're buying an organic product without the Prop 65 warning label, I'd question what the company is hiding as lead is naturally occurring in soil, water, & even the air. The warning isn't necessarily a sign of added contaminants but a legal requirement because plants can absorb small, naturally present amounts of lead, that exceed California's strict "Safe Harbor" levels for a warning-free product. So it covers the company from lawsuit & Starwest tests for contaminants. They have a page on their website addressing this, as do many food companies. Now the actual functionality of the product. I got this for my furkids, it's a great upper GI product that coats their inner digestive system. Don't give meds with it as it does prevent absorption of some, but by doing that, is also soothes an irritated system. My girl (90lb k9) got some uncontrollable burps the other day, couldn't get rid of them, wanted to eat grass, I knew it wasn't bloat, etc. I broke out & mixed this in bone broth into a jelly liquid with some crunchy treats & she lapped most of it up. I encouraged some movement (another it's not bloat sign) & within 15-20 minutes, her burps were gone!! I gave the rest to her (she wasn't having the entire small dose I made, lol...) over the next few meals & no burps, she usually had a few as it was a new diet with more whole foods & something needed an adjustment time. No issues since then with her nor the cats, but it's great to have on hand!! natural conditioner!!
just started using mine the other day. this worked incredible well for me. here are the instructions i used: Here's a simple way to make a conditioner using marshmallow root powder: Ingredients: - 2 tablespoons of marshmallow root powder - 1 cup of water Instructions: 1. **Boil Water:** Start by boiling the water. 2. **Mix Powder:** Once the water is boiling, add the marshmallow root powder. Stir well to ensure there are no lumps. 3. **Simmer:** Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes. This helps to extract the mucilage from the marshmallow root, which is what gives your hair that great slip. 4. **Strain:** After simmering, strain the mixture to remove any remaining powder particles. You can use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth for this. (I DIDNT DO THIS PART) 5. **Cool Down:** Let the mixture cool down to room temperature. 6. **Store:** Pour the mixture into an airtight container and store it in the fridge. It should last for about a week. How to Use: - Apply the mixture to your hair after shampooing. - Leave it on for 5-10 minutes. - Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Do NOT Buy!!!!
CONTAINS LEAD!!!! This has a lead content/cancer warning that I wouldn’t have purchased had I known prior. I researched if lead is common for marshmallow root, trying to give the company the benefit of doubt, and it doesn’t look like it is. How do you sell a product, intended to consume, that’s toxic?! It’s also not eligible for return, so I’m just stuck with something I cannot use.

Makes Great Marshmallows!
Made homemade Marshmallows with the powder & they turned out lovely. There wasn't much smell for me which is nice! I ate 2 Marshmallows a day, I can't say whether it help with pain relief but it definitely helped with sore throat, and I noticed my digestion was better as well.

Gut healing!
I’m making homemade marshmallows. I got the recipe from Dr. Green Life for tummy repair marshmallows, and this is the brand she had linked. It looks like a good powdery texture. I’m not sure about the taste, but the recipe doesn’t call for much. It does have a P65 warning on it. Natural ingredients, such as any plants or roots that grow in the ground, naturally absorb things from the soil and that’s why there is this warning. I’m excited to use this and I’ll update after we make and taste the marshmallows!

Good For Making Marshmallows
I’m using this in marshmallows and I barely notice the taste. It’s a good value for the money, but I don’t like the cancer warning, that could ruin all the health benefits this root is supposed to give.
