Smoke and MJ (Marley Jo)......oh my, they have officially become a top favorite couple of ALL TIME!!! I am not kidding when I say these two were magical, perfect actually for me, more than perfect for each other. I have a serious girl crush going on for MJ... She is one of my favorite h leads in so long and she has definitely made a name and a place in my favorite female lead characters category, ever!!!!!! These 2 were so hot for each other, they were SO IN LOVE with each other that I could feel every single emotion dripping out of my Kindle and deep down straight into my soul. I mean there just aren't enough words on these 2 for me, the author portrayed them both perfect in every way and on every level for me and I am so damn thankful, lol!!!!! OK, ok, enough about my immense and utter love of these characters.... Now onto the storyline. As usual in this series it's action packed, it is always filled with our previous characters and couples and I just can't get enough of the gang! The storyline flowed seamlessly, flawless, I was hanging on every word of every sentence. I was literally glued to my seat from start to finish. Put it down once and once only because I couldn't get enough while also holding my breath on a couple of occasions! Congrats Author L. Wilder, you are not only a favorite writer of mine but just a beautiful, exciting storyteller and I cannot wait for more from you in the future. I have thousands of books in my kindle library and yet when one of your books gets released, I can't get it on my Kindle fast enough to start it and this was no exception:) This was not a home run, oh no, it was a Grand Slam for me!!!!!! There are multiple reoccurring characters, consecutive / concurrent timelines, and overarching themes. ** There are scenes that may be difficult for sensitive readers. Examples are listed below. Also, if you have not read any of the previous stories in the series, then the following may contain spoilers. ** I think I have a new favorite! There is just something about Smokey that engaged me almost from the beginning. Yes there are some common themes, but that is to be expected within a long-term series. It still didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment. The world building is good and this story introduces an apple orchard and MJ (along with her family) into the mix. All of which could play a role in future stories if desired. I liked MJ, aka Marley Jo, but the real draw for me was Smokey. A couple of things that distracted me was the letter MJ wrote to Smokey being shown before the story began. This to me was a part of the story that should have not been given away until the letter was left and Smokey read it. I think the impact would have been greater and I found myself thinking about when that would happen versus staying immersed in her dialogue. The last few stories seem more put together than some of the earlier stories in the series. There are a few grammatical issues, but not too many and nothing difficult to interpret. I had three that disrupted my reading enough to make a note of it (incorrect punctuation, incorrect word choice). I uploaded my notes to Goodreads.com for anyone interested. I mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. Smokey met MJ when she locked her keys in her car. He gave her a lift home and arranged for her car to be returned the next day so she could get to work. The attraction is instant and soon they're a couple. Then he gets a note and she's gone. Her dad is the local sheriff, and he tells her if she dosnt leave him and move to her Aunts, then he will see everyone of them in jail, he's even arranged a job for her. Having no choice she leaves. Smokey gets Big to track her down Sue P

Every book is getting better and better! This was a wonderful Story! Smokey and MJ are an adorable couple and the story has it all. Love, sexyness, steamy but also funny moments, friendship, family and brotherhood. I highly recommend this book too all of you, who Love Alpha Males, strong women and MC's. Well done Ms. Wilder! I hope Brandon gets a book, too.

It’s well worth reading if you like a light MC genre with a great story that allows for wonderful characters to develop and the romantic relationship to take priority in the story. Well worth your valuable time to read it.
