Pokemon TCG: 2016 Assorted Ex Box-Gengar

I got this box and ended up with a GX, two or three EX cards, and a Mega card, along with an assortment of other basic level cards, stage 1 cards, and stage 2 cards. Knowing that cards are random based on what packs you get, etc, I was exceptionally ecstatic to have such a great pull.My only qualm was that my small Gengar card was bent slightly and my large Gengar card had a corner where the lamination was very slightly peeling off. This, however, was not enough to upset me about my purchase, as it was absolutely worth it.

The jumbo, full-art Gengar is very cool looking. I absolutely love it. No bends or dings anywhere.The box was handled by the mailman a little poorly, but everything inside was totally fine.I got some decent pulls, nothing crazy... Just a full art Primarina and a F***ING FIRST GEN ARTWORK HOLO CHARIZARD. NO BIG DEAL haha. I was ecstatic. Took me straight back to my childhood. Totally worth the money.Opening new packs of Pokemon cards makes me feel like I'm a kid again. Maybe its the nostalgia, but I genuinely, throughougly enjoyed opening this box set.Edit*** upon further inspection, the packs within this box are not as advertised. I got 2 Sun and a moon booster packs and two evolutions packs. Odd though, because of the cards are fake, most were legit. But the fake cards weren't rare, they were commons or energy cards or trainer cards. The rest were real, I just went to a card shop earlier today and had previously mentioned holo Charizard graded, and it's 100% legitimate. So I'm confused why the packs were switched out and got fake common cards... Removing a star because it's partially fake/ not as advertised.

When your oldest kid loves Gengar, Haunter, and Gastly, you get him the Gengar bundle for Christmas. It was a huge hit, and bails me out from having to go through who knows how many packs of cards to get him the character he wants. Great purchase and a very happy kid at Christmas means you get 5 stars!

I'm fairly new into collecting pokemon cards, but I've watched a ton of openings to know that my box was tampered with. The top of the box was ripped along with a hole in the back and the inside edges were bent like someone worked to get at the insides of the box without opening the proper opening routes. As I'm said I'm new to this, but comparing my box to the one pictured on the page, the packs I got in my box were all different sets than the ones pictured except the Fates Collide. Instead of Ancient Origins, Steam Seige, and Breakthrough, the set packs I got instead of those were Primal Clash, Evolutions, and Sun & Moon.It could be that these promo boxes were originally packaged with random set packs, but highly doubt it. Especially since the Sun & Moon pack being in this box makes zero sense, considering that the boxes copyright date is 2016, and the copyright date on the Sun & Moon pack is 2017. I'm also lead to believe that the scammers took out the packs, took three of the packs that were normally in the box and replaced them with different ones, and also weighed packs and also one opened and resealed pack.What is insane is that they were stupid enough to put in a mismatched date pack with the Sun & Moon pack, but also that said Sun & Moon pack was a tampered with\resealed pack. It is hard to tell in the picture, but the middle fold section fo the pack looks different, the ends from the middle look like a normal pack, all shy and reflective, but the middle is dull. It is easier to tell in person when holding it, because the dull discolored middle was really hard and ridged, very obvious that the pack was opened and resealed with a glue that dries differently than the normal sealing that packs have. It can also be seen in how the middle points that on normal\non-tampered with packs come together evenly, this packs middle is uneven. So not only did they swap in a Sun & Moon pack, they swapped in one that they had opened and resealed. The other packs were tampered with, but that was most likely because they weighed them and found they had no special cards.And yes, no special\good cards is what I got. The promo Gengar was horribly warped, so I put in in a hard sleeve to see if it will straighten it, but I highly doubt it will work. Also, the big version of the card was also horribly bent and warped, but more so than I've seen in legit untampered with boxes. Other than that, I got zero good pulls, just the typical guaranteed reverse holos.Maybe I'll stick with buying the smaller pin box sets because I've got good pulls from them and never had one that was tampered with. But who knows, maybe I've been lucky with not getting tampered ones of those. If anybody knows which sellers are cheap like this, but also trustworthy, let me know.

Good deal got decent cards

I would recommend this for sure. Box showed up in perfect condition. Definitely factory sealed. cards inside were in excellent condition packs were new and never opened. for the price this is a good buy.
