KIWI design K2 Comfort Head Strap Accessories for Oculus/Meta Quest 2

I will never be able to go back to the default Oculus head strap ever again after using this KIWI head strap. My strap that originally came with the Quest 2 had finally broken, and I was forced to find a replacement. I knew whilst I was searching that I desperately needed something better than what Meta gives you by default, and I came across this head strap. I was a bit hesitant initially, the price point scared me off a bit, but after reading the reviews I caved and decided to buy. It has been around 5 months, and I have never felt more comfortable using my headset than I have with this strap. For starters, installing the KIWI head strap was fairly simple, the instructions were easy to follow, and I got it working in no time. After using it for the first time I could immediately feel a difference, this strap is very durable and disperses the weight of the VR headset MUCH more evenly than the flimsy strap that comes by default with the Quest 2. As someone who frequently uses their headset for games such as Beat Saber that require lots of movement and physical activity, this upgrade was a necessity. The KIWI strap comes with two angles of attack, a foam strap above the head, and the hard plastic/foam strap that rests behind your head, leading to the more even dispersion of weight. The soft foam strap that goes above your head is comfortable, and soft. The hard plastic strap behind the head also has a nice foam covering as well, which just makes everything that much nicer to wear. There is a little dial on the back which you can turn to adjust the width, so this strap is accommodating for all ages and head sizes, adjusting the size of the strap is extremely easy to do. Besides the wonderful quality, the aesthetics of this product are lovely as well, genuinely this head strap looks more official and in-place than the default fabric stretchy disappointing strap that Meta gives you!! Truly such a wonderful product, ever since I've bought this, I've been using my headset more than ever, it's actually comfortable to use now! If you have a Quest 2, you NEED to buy this, it's very worth it!

My son LOVES this strap it holds his occulus on his head steady and it doesn't weigh down your head or hurt your neck from the weight pressure. Fits secure and balanced. Much better than the original straps they come with I would definitely recommend this specially if got little kids that play on the VR sets it adjust easy and is comfortable enough for child to adult. This is the best investment for price its worth it toss away your factory strap you wont regret the replacement with this! Im buying a few extra for gifts to give my nephews! i added the kiwi design comfort head strap accessories c to my meta quest 2 and it completely changed my vr sessions. slipping it on felt intuitive right away. the padded top strap relieved pressure on my forehead so i stopped feeling that unbearable weight after just thirty minutes. the side tightening dial lets me find the perfect snug fit without any slipping or readjusting mid-game. the soft cushion around the back of my head feels like a cloud against my skull and stays firm even during intense movements. swapping out the original strap took less than a minute and didn’t require any tools. after hours of gaming i noticed zero soreness and my headset stayed balanced without sliding forward. cleanup is easy too since the fabric cover zips off for a quick rinse. if you want to enjoy longer, more comfortable vr marathons this strap is worth every penny.

It fits nice and snug grip my face well and it doesn't feel to cheap with me personally loving the material they chose to use for both the back and top pad. The only con I can find in this headstap is the price, with me expecting more but compared to other straps it is amazing.

Before I review: 1. Headphone Users - The ONLY downside to this head strap is that the way it's built doesn't really allow for you to wear headphones over your Quest 2 unless they're absurdly wide. If that's a concern, I'd look into something shaped a little differently (Such as the BOBOVR M2, which I personally found to be really unbalanced and uncomfortable - but I'm told that adding weight to the back helps. Do with that information what you will.) I personally prefer using some high-quality earbuds (or even just the stock speakers) so this doesn't impact my score at all - but I find it worth mentioning. 2. I recently saw that KIWI is now offering a head strap with a built-in battery (look for "Battery Head Strap" on their website) but after having set this one up with a small battery harness (also sold by KIWI on Amazon, search "KIWI design 3 in 1 Battery Strap") and a cheap 10,000mah battery bank (that I originally bought for keeping my phone charged on hikes) I see no reason to make the switch - it's perfect just the way it is. Anyway... On to the review: This is easily the first accessory that any Quest 2 owner should pick up. I generally avoid 3rd-party accessories for gaming hardware. I mean, everyone knows that the "Official" products are better, right? Not this time. The stock strap is always either too loose or too tight and, after a little while, it just starts to loosen up on its own... so then you over-tighten it and end up with a headache. KIWI somehow makes products that exceed the official Meta accessories in quality while offering them at a lower price (sometimes a LOT lower). It's just mind-blowing to me that Meta/Facebook sets their retail prices staggeringly high and yet can't offer a fraction of the quality that KIWI does (like their 16ft link cable that literally outperforms the official Oculus/Meta link cable at a fraction of the cost)... not to mention that the official "Elite" strap offered by Meta is so cheap and brittle that it snaps like balsa wood. Incredibly comfortable, super easy to install, and if you add on a cheap USB battery (doesn't everyone have a few of these now-a-days?) it's the perfect setup for those day-long VR sessions. There's something so satisfying about the clicks as you tighten the knob... knowing that once you're comfortable, it's going to stay that way. This upgrade singlehandedly improved my experience to the point that I could easily double or triple the length of my gaming sessions just because of the comfort difference. I've never been this comfortable in the Quest 2, and I know I'll be getting all my Quest accessories from KIWI from now on.

So much better than the original headgear. I wasn’t a fan of the OEM headstrap so I looked for something to change it out. This got a lot of positive reviews so I gave it a shot. Very easy to change out and very comfortable. It’s easy to adjust and fits perfect on my VR stand

I was pretty happy exercising with my Quest 2 and the aftermarket strap and fan. I wear glasses, but exercise without them. Then, my wife decides to use the Quest to exercise, which is great, except she needs her glasses to do anything. We got this strap, thinking the hinge would make it easier to put on. I didn’t want to spend this much on another strap, but when I got this, it is a whole other level in quality. It feels nice, adjustable, supportive and it’s really easy to get on with glasses. My fan attachment was fine with it. The fan is in the face mask, so it doesn’t affect the strap. This would be worth the money, just to make the Quest 2 easier to put on and take off. The only thing that could be better is the super cushiony strap that goes front to back on your head could adjust smaller for me. The rest of the unit is adjustable enough to keep it in place through exercise, so it hasn’t been a problem. The wide cushiony head strap, the back of head support cushion and the dial to adjust tightness make this the best head strap I’ve had. The hinge to get it on and off make this about the best you could design. They have a version with a battery as well, that might be the best, if you play for long periods. Best head strap for the Quest 2.

Gelukkig ben ik nog niet zo fanatiek, maar de originele strap van de Oculus Q2 zit wel goed, maar soms heb je het gevoel dat je VR-bril wiebelt, of als je b.v. in FitXR met een box- of HIIT-sessie bezig bent, dat 'ie van je hoofd kan vallen. Deze strap van Kiwi zit heerlijk. Eerst de VR-bril opzetten, op de juiste spanning zetten met de knop aan de achterkant, en dan de bovenste strap eventueel iets verstellen zodat je VR-bril recht voor je ogen hangt. Ik ben zelf brildragend en nu kan ik door de strap los te draaien en omhoog te zetten makkelijk de VR-bril opdoen. Afdoen? Precies omgekeerd, eerst de achterkant omhoog zetten en je kan zo je eigen bril bevrijden.

I cinturini custom per i visori Meta Quest sono una manna dal cielo, e quello di KIWI Design non fa eccezione. Dopo aver trascorso qualche mese immerso nei videogiochi di realtà virtuale, ho deciso di sostituire il cinturino standard del Quest con uno nuovo, poiché non eccelleva nel tenere fermo e saldo il visore durante i movimenti. Inoltre, nelle lunghe sessioni di gioco, tendeva a risultare scomodo. Il cinturino di KIWI Design è facilissimo da montare. L’installazione richiede pochi minuti grazie al sistema a incastro, accompagnato da istruzioni chiare. Anche il sistema di regolazione è un grande vantaggio: basta ruotare la manopola nella parte posteriore per stringere o allentare il cinturino. Le regolazioni sono precise e graduali, adattandosi perfettamente anche a chi, come me, ha una testa piuttosto grande. È un netto miglioramento rispetto al cinturino standard. Dopo diversi mesi di utilizzo, posso confermare che questo cinturino svolge egregiamente il suo lavoro. Le sessioni di gioco sono diventate molto più confortevoli, e indossare o togliere il visore è ora estremamente semplice. Non ho riscontrato segni di usura, e non riesco a trovare alcun difetto significativo. Se utilizzate frequentemente il visore VR, acquistare un cinturino come questo è un investimento che vale ogni centesimo.

This is a replacement for my original 1 star review. Now 5 stars! My 1st delivery (as some others have reported) had foam bursting out of the top strap seams. I couldn't be bothered to send it back as I figured I'd just get another the same. So I left my 1 star review with photos. Kiwi Design contacted me through Amazon very apologetic, they had a manufacturing issue effecting some shipped units and wanted badly to rectify my experience. They sent me a replacement straight away, they kept in contact with me throughout the shipping and I am very happy to report the replacement is as expected. This aside the functionality of the strap is excellent. It's comfortable, easily adjusted and secure on the head. I love the tilting front so you can quickly lift to see the real world without any adjustment to the fit. The ratchet tightener on the back makes it quick to take off and put back on and way less fussy than the original strap when passing the headset from one person to another. Good job Kiwi Design! If you have a problem unit I highly recommend sending a message to their customer support.

Ich habe das aktualisierte Elite Strap von KIWI Design für meine Meta Quest 2 gekauft, weil mir das Original-Stirnband einfach zu unbequem und wackelig war – und der Unterschied ist wirklich enorm. Das KIWI Strap sitzt deutlich stabiler, verteilt das Gewicht besser und erhöht den Tragekomfort vor allem bei längeren Sessions spürbar. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig, das Polster ist weich und angenehm auf der Haut. Auch nach über einer Stunde fühlt sich nichts drückend oder unangenehm an. Besonders praktisch finde ich das einfache Einstellrad am Hinterkopf – damit lässt sich die Passform schnell und präzise anpassen. Das neue, überarbeitete Modell wirkt insgesamt robuster als frühere Versionen, und ich hatte bisher keinerlei Probleme mit Rissen oder Wacklern. Fazit: Wer seine Quest 2 regelmäßig nutzt, sollte sich dieses Strap unbedingt gönnen. Es macht das VR-Erlebnis nicht nur komfortabler, sondern auch immersiver, weil man weniger mit der Passform kämpfen muss. Klare Kaufempfehlung – 5 Sterne!
