Really good
This Bristol Worms Trap works exactly as expected. It’s easy to use, effective, and has helped clear up my tank. I’m really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone dealing with Bristol worms.

Works great
Easy to setup and use. We successfully caught two of several bristle worms on the first try!

It really works!
The trap doesn’t include instructions and you have to know a couple of things. You need to use the same food in it that you have been feeding your tank. Set it on its side so the clear plastic faces outward (you can see the inside) and the worms come in through the sand. Once you figure that out…….wow. It’s extremely effective! We have been clearing it 2-3 times a day. This is a simple, inexpensive and effective product.

Does not work.
I have tried multiple foods now over the span over several weeks and haven’t caught a single bristleworm. Absolute waste of money.

Caught between 20-30 on my first use
This trap works very well at catching the bristle worms, but I have seen them escape as well. I have had better success setting in the tank for hour or so, then taking out and setting back for an overnight soak. I feel that when I set in for overnight, there were only a few left inside, maybe they escape. There are imperfections or pieces broken off on the interior (entrance tunnel) cones but it still seems to function. Just an imperfection in the 3d printing process which is why only 4 out of 5 stars.I had problems with my peppermint shrimp sliding the top open to get the bait (shrimp), which would let the worms out. So to fix, I used a rubber band around the container to keep the clear lid secured closed. I also tied an extra rubber band to the one wrapped around it, and that makes it easy to grab and to set in tank and take back out using my extended tongs. Works better than getting my arm wet each time.Definitely use tweezers to remove the worms as they can sting you. You can either pull them out with tweezers, or run fresh water in sink over trap, or soak in a bowl of fresh water to kill the worms. Easier to pick out once they are dead.Hope this review helps and you will catch those pesky critters in your tank as well.

Not catching as many as it should.
Hard to get the air out of the box so it won't float. The trap holes seem to be either limiting or allowing worms to escape. Have used other tubular traps that catch more.

Best Solution!
I have been trying to catch the elusive bristle worm for a couple of months now. It hitchhiked and has grown as my tank has matured. Tried an arrow crab and six line wrasse without success. I finally decided to do something about it before it got out of control. I used some raw shrimp and put it in the tank and nothing. I then used frozen brine shrimp with some raw shrimp on top to keep it from dispersing too quickly and the worm would go partially in the trap and then pull right back out. I was sure it was too big to fully go in. I tried again the next night with just shrimp again and nothing. Night 4, did the dual shrimp deal again and moved the trap far enough away that I felt the worm had to come fully out of the rock and would go into the trap. Bingo, and the pictures show just how big it is!! It was very squished in the trap and it took me a while to actually get it out but you can see it was about 6-7 inches long. No wonder my original solutions did not work! Use bait that you see your bristle worm already attracted to and I’d say you will be totally successful. I would recommend Print Reef to make a size larger (not the holes they go in but the box itself) to accommodate the monsters that are too smart for the other solutions! Definitely recommend!
