Very durable
Ive used this flashlight for about 3 years straight on patrol and it has held up well in foot pursuits and all around daily use. It has multiple brightness modes and I use the strobe a lot. Its the perfect size to keep on your person and the battery lasts long. I charge it with my phone charger so thats pretty convincing. Definitely good value for the money and great functionality.

Amazing flashlight!
Can fit in a pocket! ABS holster is a plus. 4000 lumens in your pocket! Incredible! Wide Flood pattern. Great for lighting up a parking lot or alleyway. The instant strobe function is amazing! Instant disorientation (Stun) of anyone on the recieving end of the light! I bought another because of the quality and value. Nitecore is a step above. Tailcap activation of both the light and strobe! No fumbling with a "Side Switch". Won't have to worry about wearing gloves or orientation. Intuitive use. You won't regret buying it. Highly recommend!

Great Light and Extremely Bright! Buy the optional tail-cap to protect the button and make carry much easier!

Good modes
This light is far superior to the fenix 4K lumens which puts out a yellow green light. The light color is cold white so can see clearer than yellow green. The modes are easy to use but the switch is at the bottom so got to get used to using and changing modes on bottom. You don’t have to remove the battery to charge like the fenix. But uses proprietary battery. It is higher power than 18650. The holster is good and necessary to carry and much better than the nylon holsters that other lights come with. Fenix comes with no holster. Beam is wide which I wanted as to many lights have narrow beam and better to light up a whole area than one spot. When packing will have to unscrew the cap to prevent accidental turn on.

Super bright & floody!
So this is my first Nitecore light. I'm actually gifting it to my brother. But I couldn't give it to him without testing it out first. My initial impressions are below. Brightness: Ya... it's honestly too bright for indoor use lol. Outside, it turns night damn near into day! Excellent color temperature. I would call this very neutral, white light, with the very slightest hue of blue blended in. Optics: If you want a flood light, this is it. Hands down, bar none. I've never owned a flashlight that has so much flood but, still packs the power behind it to light up everything like day within a 180° in front of me & 30yds out. It's an exceptionally even distribution of light within that range. I wouldn't use it reliably for trying to see anything further than 45+yds but, even then, it still illuminates very well at that distance. For reference, the tree in my picture is at 34yds. Battery life: I can't say really. I charged it all the way up before use but, I've only been messing with it for about 45mins. I really don't care for the "battery life" indication method. According to the manual, the blue light stays on solid when it has +50% battery, slow flashes at -50% & fast flashes at -10%. I really feel that this needs refinement. I would personally scrap the blue led altogether and install a RGB led with green, yellow, orange & red colors as to the battery life. Moving on... Ergonomics/Mode button: Feels solid in the hand. A tad small but, not bad by any means. Easy to grip/hold onto. The "Mode" button placement feels awkward to me. I've accidentally grazed it more than a few times when first turning the flashlight on. This caused the light to kick down to a lower brightness. This needs refinement as well. For reference, I put the light into tactical mode. I found personally, that placing the light so that the raised button is to the left or right of my thumb (depending which hand I hold it in) makes it much easier to operate. That way, the mode button is activated by simply pushing your thumb down & when you want to turn the light off, you have to lift up and move your thumb over the on/off button. It still doesn't feel right though. Needs to be slightly offset more. Tactical mode: This is definitely the mode it should be in by default. Having the full 4,000 lumens available at a single click, every time, is the way to go. However, there seems to be an issue with the strobe function in this mode. When accessing strobe directly from the "Off" state, the strobe starts off at full brightness but, after around 3 seconds, it drops in brightness considerably. The strobe is non-linear, so it changes speed/pattern over a given time. This is much more effective for tactical defense, as it makes it much more disorienting. After it automatically cycles back to the beginning, the brightness comes back up, then drops back down again after the 3 seconds. Perhaps this is a defective unit. But, seeing as the person I'm giving this light to won't use strobe much, if at all, I'm not too concerned. TEMPERATURE: See all the caps? That's because this thing gets HOT. And it gets hot VERY quickly. Like, uncomfortable to hold after about 60 seconds. No joke, I found myself holding onto the last 1/4 of the back of it so it didn't scald me. If you were gloves regularly while using flashlights, this shouldn't be an issue. Would probably also mitigate accidentally hitting the Mode button. DEFINITELY needs refinement in thermal management! I would increase the size of the heatsink on the head by making the fins deeper. Possibly add an additional two all the way around. It would be worth the extra length, which wouldn't be much more than a quarter inch. I didn't try the holster. I'm going to let my brother open that sealed package and have him relay it's functionality to me. So to wrap it up, I really love the output. Astounding flood light. After some considerable thermal management & some ergonomic refining, it would be a 5 star product all the way!

Excellent light in a compact size
This light is very bright and lights up a wide area. Used intermittently during ten hour shifts, battery life is more than sufficient. I like the fact that the switch is on/off, and one doesn’t have to cycle through several modes to shut it off. The strobe function has its own switch, so operation is entirely straightforward. I like the holster too, as it grips very tightly, yet the flashlight comes out easily when you want it to. Excellent quality, and well thought-out.

This is a fantastic flashlight.
Nitecore is my favorite flashlight brand. The strobe is blinding and it can really throw light. Its a great self defense tool. Took it outdoors this weekend to look for firewood and its fantastic. Left it on all night set to low for use as a nightlight and it had virtually no effect on the battery charge. I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase.

We call this the Oppenheimer light coloquially between my colleauges
I use this for law enforcement and let me tell you. Its like throwing a little atomic bomb where we need to see. Its well worth the $, super bright wide angle light that we even dubbed it the Oppenheimer. The lens gets a little hot from use but I mean with how bright this thing is, Im not surprised. The battery life is only OK but not bad. If you use it a lot, it probably wouldn't last more than an 8 hour shift. Its well worth it though, rechargeable with USB C.

Awesome EDC flashlight. Perfect shape as a palm stick. Combined with strobe, this makes this FL the perfect SD-tool. And a very bright and sturdy light source as well. Thumbs up! Best choice in this segment at the moment!
