Why did you pick this product vs others?: It indicated that it would fit my vehicle, that turned out to be misleading. It did "fit", but it was the wrong size. Its smaller and slightly different in shape. 2012 vw passat se

It was not the same size or shape as the original that came off of the Passat. It did fit in the mirror case just not an exact fit.

My mirror was destroyed when it was parked on the street. Slapping this on over the broken mirror worked just fine and I haven't had any problems with it in over a year. The adhesive worked; no problems.

This is a perfect fit for a Jetta 2011; but be carefull, the website from the seller indicates that this model fits Jetta 2012+ and gives mirror no. 90285 for the Jetta 2011; do not buy model 90285, it does not fit the 2011. The quality seems good, and it is much cheaper than buying original from VW.
