The Dark Knight Returns Slipcase Set (Batman Dark Knight, 1-4)

I have loved The Dark Knight Returns since I first read it in high school decades ago, and this is the best re-print yet because it comes with the four books separated like it originally came out, with hard covers and the original cover artwork. Much better than the cover art all together at the end of the book. Nice slipcase to protect the individual books. The content itself speaks for itself. Love it or hate it, it is the seminal comic of the 1980s that changed comics forever. The price is quite low now as well so get it while it lasts!

The quality of these books are fantastic, some people might say that this isn’t a good book to get into Batman with and I don’t think that’s true, these really hit home for me just know that if you are planning to get this as a gift for someone young, these aren’t really super kid friendly except for maybe the first one, but in my opinion these are one of the best “COMICS” I have ever read!

This is the best comic book run ever created, collected in a very gorgeous and classy edition. When I received it, I immediately opened it up and sniffed it for a few minutes; nothing beats that heavenly new book smell. It arrived in perfect condition from Amazon. All books should be shrink-wrapped like this one was, ALL OF THEM! Please convey this message to your distributors, Amazon. It will result in more satisfied customers and less returns. Many people, including myself, want to get their books in an immaculate condition to enjoy and then display them.

This is a milestone on the Batman lore, one of Frank Miller masterpieces, changed the way we look at the Dark Knight, you could easily consider this the last Batman story (and yet the beginning of a new era for our comics in general), a big reminder of what makes the Bat thick, a must read!! And to have a very special edition like this one is just the cherry on the top, I have a couple of trade paperbacks and yet, I couldn't resist to get this one, totally worth it!! Just try to avoid the sequels...

Bravo! This box set is amazing. The individual box recount the original Miller cover art with a beautiful matte finish and glossy combo! The box set also matches perfectly the DKIII box set that came out a few years ago that collects the entire DKIII run into hardbound books. The price is insane, are you serious?! I might have to buy another one for my brother. If you are collect, fan or avid reader buy this before it's gone! Now all I can hope for is a collected version of DK2 in the same format, even if that story is a bit weak sauce. I want you to remember the man who beat you . . .

I’ve been on the lookout for a DK Returns collectors edition in any kind of format & this is just the perfect one I’ve been waiting for. Love that instead of being in one graphic novel book, it’s an individual hardcover edition of the original 4 part series. The box is gorgeous & love Bat & Supe’s(regardless of their differences in this story). Overall a great price for an awesome collection for years to cherish. Well worth it.

Looks professional, one of the greatest graphic novels of all time

La historia es grandiosa y una lectura obligada tanto para cualquier fan de superheroes como para como el fan de las novelas gráficas en general. Lo mejor que Frank Miller ha hecho. Ahora hablemos de esta edición coleccionista: es grande y viene dividido en los cuatro capítulos que conforman la saga de "The dark knigh returns", tienen pasta dura y unas portadas iconicas... pero nada más. No sketches ni comentarios del autor, unos podrían considerarlo limpio, otros vacío. Dicho lo dicho es una edición muy chula que se verá muy bien en un estante, pero si lo que te interesa es la historia dentro de las paginas, puedes encontrar la edición pasta blanda a la mitad del precio y con la misma calidad de impresión.

Eu queria muito e consegui, estou 100% satisfeito, que box lindo do Dark Knight do grande Frank Miller. Impecável!!

Frank Miller‘s Batman Klassiker in einer besonders schönen Ausgabe. Kann man immer und immer wieder lesen. Pflicht für alle, die sich ernsthaft mit der Geschichte der Batman Comics beschäftigen wollen, und zusammen mit Year One eine gute Einstiegsmöglichkeit ins Batman Universum. Darf in keiner Sammlung fehlen!

Ricevuto come regalo di Natale anticipato e devo dire che non potevano scegliere meglio! L'edizione è molto bella, il box è elegante e l'idea di presentare all'interno del box in piccoli cartonati i 4 spillati mensili dei tempi della pubblicazione originale (con le copertine dell'epoca) da quel tocco di classe e commemorazione a questa storia che assolutamente non ha bisogno di presentazioni. Possiedo già un volume unico edito dalla RW Lion ma questa edizione è una chicca per tutti i fan del Racconto, di Frank Miller e del personaggio!
