These work well. Easy to snap lids on and off. Here's how I did it.
I like these containers a lot. They're high quality. I'm using them to transfer and store 1/2 gallon of paint from a larger metal 1 gallon container (which doesn't close properly due to paint clogging the seal) into two of these quart-sized containers. It worked perfectly. I've read a number of low rating reviews regarding the lids being difficult and I did not share that experience. I'll share how I easily put the lid on and remove it, below. These black paint containers have a strong, air-tight seal. As such, I used a light plastic mallet (a hammer would likely work too) to lightly tap the top around the lid edges until they make an audible snapping sound as they click onto the can. This tells you the lid is fully on. It was not difficult at all. I am surprised at all these reviews which make this seem difficult. It's not. Using a large flathead screwdriver easily pops the lid off. Go around the lid edges prying up carefully so as not to bend the plastic to ensure an airtight seal when done. All around great cans for saving paint from bad metal cans, or other purposes too.

Great product for left over paint
Do you have 1/4 filled paint cans? The can is going to rust out eventually. These are ideal to dump the paint in and keep it for awhile. I tagged each one with the label from the paint store and noted the room. Excellent product! Cheers, Danbo

They work and are very hard to find at box stores
These 1-quart paint cans are a life saver, when you have cans of paint you need to save, but the original can is falling apart. They are very air tight and paint stored in them six months, look like I just got it from the paint store. Used a printed tape to label and put a drop on the lid top so I know what color is inside.

It works as it should
A little pricey but a much better can than the metal one the paint came in. Plastic doesn’t rust!!!

A great storage solution
The perfect solution to paint storage. It eliminated having to keep large gallon sized containers in the garage cabinet. The container holds enough paint to do a touch up or even paint a small area. It seals completely, keeping the paint fresh.
