It was an exact replacement for my icemaker, the original had a burnt copper connection due to a bad connection in the wiring in another part of the freezer. for a while the icemaker worked intermittently then stopped altogether, i found and repaired the wire where the icemaker plugs into the wiring harness coming out of the freezer wall, still no ice. pulled the motor cover off removed the control module and found a bad section of the copper trace where a pin that is turned by the motor connects, the copper was burnt from arcing and no longer making contact. replaced the control module and ice maker is running perfectly!

This worked perfectly for my Whirlpool Refrigerator icemaker!
After troubleshooting my ice maker I researched the part and check prices. This was the best price of all venues that had them in stock. It arrived as stated and it was easy to install. I watched three videos on YouTube and that provided me with the knowledge to install it myself without calling my local repairman. Then one person showed me how to jump-start the unit and after doing that the icemaker came to life and I had ice cubes again! It was the exact same unit that was in the Whirlpool icemaker. I recommend purchasing this from Amazon!

Worked for 10 days then it quit
This part worked fine for about 10 days. Then it quit. I saw a similar complaint left in a previous review when I bought it but I thought “Well, what’s the chance that I would also receive a bad part?” Well, now we know the answer - they are probably shipping a whole lot of poorly made products that they’ve sourced very cheaply. I don’t recommend buying this part from this seller.

Good Value - Works Fine
