I LIKE THE NEW BOWLS. THE BOWLS ARE GOOD FOR STORAGE OF LEFTOVER FOOD FROM THE MEALS. THE BOWLS WILL LAST FOR MANY YEARS. THE LIDS FOR THE BOWLS ARE EASY TO PUT ON/OFF THE BOWLS. HIGHLY RECOMMAND FOR THE BOWLS THAT STORAGE FOOD

I usually go out of my way to track down products made in the USA, but will also snag European, Japanese, etc if you can't find it. I like to buy quality and support workers in 1st world countries.This product line was made in the USA since forever, and I decided to order more to keep it matching with the other stuff I have... Only to find out they've now shipped them off to China for manufacturing. That irritated me quite a bit. As best as I could tell it looks like the parent Glad company sold off the rights to Gladware only to some other company, and then that company started making them overseas. These things used to be EVERYWHERE in stores, and I noticed they disappeared, which is why I bought them online. I suspect that happened when Glad sold them as Glad has great distribution.They seem to be more or less comparable to the old ones. I didn't have this size/shape that were made in the USA, so I can't say for certain if the lids will actually work on the old ones. It would be really annoying if the tolerances changed enough to where it's not cross compatible. Any which way I will probably not buy any more of these now that they're not made in USA, I'll just snag more Pyrex glass containers, or maybe find another plastic line that is still US made.

I USE IT FOR LEFTOVERS PRIMARILY

These are a great size for leftovers. We cook for a large family and like leftovers for another meal. Mind you, we don't microwave using them, but they stack perfectly for the fridge.Also, they're the exact size to hold one recipe's worth of ice cream and frozen yogurt we get from our Cuisinart ICE-100.**Edit: after using them to hold ice cream, we discovered that trying to chip the ice cream out of these containers resulted in them cracking and being ruined. The plastic froze so solidly along with the ice cream and cracked too easily. We like these containers but not for freezer use.

I've been looking for the right size stackable containers that would fit in my refrigerator for pizza dough proofing. This is the perfect size to get 12" round pizzas.

These are the best size for making large salads, lunch entrees, leftovers, etc. This particular size is impossible to find in stores, but you can get them on Amazon, and they are inexpensive.
