It works, simple as that
Well, it feels cheap and that's because it is... BUT it works every time and heats up fast. The plunge cut tips were ok, but the bow shaped hot wire cuts pink insulation foam like a champ. I used it to cut pieces for a 24th scale indoor RC crawler course.

Not recommend
Wasn’t able to cut the foam board from the dollar tree, which is not thick. I bought this to make my son’s birthday decorations.

does the job
it does the job very neat. i tried doing it with scissors or a blade before (worst mess ever). the only downside is you have to be really careful when detaching the different tools because they come apart and break easy and also, to attach them to the cutter is a little hard.

Cuts very well
I bought this cutter after using one at a workshop. It works great to cut foam. I played with it first before attempting to do a big project. I liked how it cut. The wire gets very hot, so it makes it easy to cut into the foam. I hope to make a lot of things. It's super easy to use. You should practice on scraps first though.

Doesn't work for EVA
I bought this hoping to use for a variety of foams ,I have not used it on Styrofoam or soft foams yet but if it handles them the way it did my Eva foam, I'll be really disappointed. Doesn't cut without having to saw the wire back and forth otherwise it just sits and burns ,has a very strange smell when heating up and while in the materials. I know it seems like a good cheap option for a hot cutter but I'd recommend looking at another product that might be a bit pricier but actually work for the mediums you wish to use

1st time user, as long as you work slow and steady, tool is fairly beginner friendly
