Long but Leaky
I bought this candle as an experiment to see how it would work with a stainless steel heater cover. I lit all three wicks, covered it and waited a good amount of time so that the metal would be as hot as it was going to get. Given the tiny flames, I was impressed with the amount of heat that was produced. Maybe it would help keep a room warm that was already warm. Probably wouldn't help in a camping situation. One star deducted because it leaked melted wax on the side seam.

Good for emergency
These candles do work wonderfully. We've used them 2 or 3 times now and they last a long time. I light all 3 wicks at a time, I like to see what I'm doing. 1 wick lit works in areas that you don't need to see what's going on, just some filtered light. Some of these have lasted 20+ hours and they haven't burned out yet. I came back to order more but If this is correct, $10 for 1 candle? I got 4 candles for less than that last year? I'll look other places for something similar, $10 for 1 of these is ridiculous. Maybe the price went up due to everyone giving it positive reviews...my guess anyway.

Great safety product
I live in the North with frigid cold winters and horrible driving conditions. I purchased these candles to put in a " winter storm car kit" for my teenage grandaughters who are driving in inclement weather. I put these in a canister with winter survival matches and 2 small foldable heat blankets. Now grandma feels a bit more at ease that they have a plan B safety net if they get stranded in the cold.

Good product
I love these things and have used them before. most candles either burn out far too quickly or come in glass containers. The quick burnout is a problem for reasons that are obvious. The glass containers are too fragile and can become more so with the heat that they have to endure. In order to get the full burn time out of the candle you use only one wick at a time. They are great for power outages and for camping.

It worked
It’s an emergency candle. We had an emergency (power outage) and we lit the candle. It burned. That’s what they said it would do, and that’s what it did. When I first bought it I opened it and made sure the wicks were spaced well enough and were trimmed correctly, then it sat on a shelf for a long time. To the review that mentioned there was a layer of melted wax on the candle when it was lit, buddy that’s how candles work. This isn’t a taper or pillar candle, it’s wax in a jar. The liquid layer is actually part of the burning process. The wax will heat up, melt, and then solidify when you blow it out. You will only spill it if you move the candle, so just leave it alone and don’t touch it. Can’t believe there was a review knocking the product for how it’s supposed to work.
