how do you install it. Is it difficult to install

No, it is very easy to install it.From good friend M.Reed , you can know this 3 steps.There are three parts. Installation is very easy and just takes a few minutes.1;The magnet is mounted onto two spokes on the front wheel - using the built-in thumb screw. 2;The transmitter mounts to the front fork next to the magnet - it's attached to the front fork by two supplied wire ties. 3;The receiver clamps onto the handle bar using two supplied wire ties. To neaten it up, I trimmed off the excess wire tie ends using a wire cutter. Scissors or nail cutters will work if you don't have a wire cutter. 4;Since this is wireless, there is no cable required. 5; You program it to the size of your wheel, mph or kph, etc.

Question 2

I have a terratrike and need to mount the sensors on the rear wheel. will that work? also, have the smaller tire version. can i calibrate for that?

I have this working with the sensor on my rear wheel, but I had to move to computer from my front handle bars to underneath the seat on the frame. 
I can check my speed/mileage by looking down, but it isn't easy like glancing down at the handlebar.

This isn't ideal, but it's fine because I'm on a stationary bike. I will move it to the front wheel when I return to biking outdoors.

Can you display the odometer and speedometer at the same time or do you have to cycle through them?

Yes, the speed and odometer do display at the same time.  In fact, the screen shown in the ad shows the speed as the larger number and the odometer as the smaller numbers at the bottom of the display.

speedometer stays a 0 when doing test and canot set clock?

Mine did the same until I accidentally found out that the sensor also requires a battery. Slid the cover back on the sensor and turn it over and a round piece falls out. That is where you put the battery. For whatever reason that is not noted in the instructions
