Just about perfect!
Disclaimer: First rifle I received was a lemon, 6-to-7-inch groups at 25 yards with possible keyholing, returned for a replacement through Amazon and the new one is dead on accurate, consistently punching cans at 50 yards as I would expect from a Crosman. Now to be fair, when any company is mass producing air rifles at these numbers, lemons are going to happen from time to time, it's just in the nature of mass production. Now to the rifle itself, it's nearly everything I want in a multi pump air rifle, .22 caliber, proper bolt action, full size, non-fiber optic sight, excellent trigger, easy to pump and a plethora of possible mods as it is built off of the tried-and-true 1300 series. Also, the use of a magnet to hold the pump arm in place instead of a plastic wear prone latch like on the 2100 is a massive improvement as it will naturally last far longer albeit at the expensive of louder noise when pumping. The BIG design flaw with this is the single screw that holds down the fixed buttstock, this can loosen and cause the action to rock when pumping, and it still slightly rocks when tightened while pumping. It REALLY needs a second hold down screw under the rear sight to keep the action firmly in place at all times. I would rate this rifle 4.5 out of 5 if I could due to this. Changes that would be nice: Beef up the rear stock, its rather thin, while this might be nice for kids and smaller hands, it feels lacking to someone who has larger hands. Another improvement since these are popular with modders, I think cutouts for the safety pin in the stock would be a thoughtful quality-of-life feature for people who want to mod their rifles since you would need to remove the safety pin to take the stock off as it is. Overall, it is a rifle with a LOT of potential.

Well made, accurate, powerful. its perfect
This is a great pump gun. its very solid, has an excellent trigger pull, and is very accurate. Some have complained they dont like the rear peep sight. Give the sight a chance, I had no trouble using it and was able to hit bullseyes repeatedly. I think this is too much gun for a kid under 10, but for teenager to adult its great. This is a huge step up from the Crosman 760 which is inexpensive, but does not have the build quality this gun has. highly recommended.

Fantastic for the three shots that worked
I read a review on here that said it worked for less than ten shots then broke, but I figured they just had bad luck. Mine worked for exactly three shots and then wouldn't hold any pressure. I have owned these before and they're great. This one was not.

Great rifle, but I strongly suggest purchasing an iron breech.
This is not a toy. I've taken several squirrels for food. This rifle is a good shooter, however I think the trigger sucks. You to definitely need to replace the plastic breech with a $40.00 iron one. The iron breech will shoot you to mount an optic and or an adjustable iron site sold separately. This rifle is super easy to pump and mine has been 100% reliable.. It only comes in a.22 cal, however you can purchase a barrel and breech to convert the rifle to shoot .177. The ride is on the small side so be aware. I enjoy shooting my C362. There are many upgrades available, however I've yet to see a trigger update. Eitherway, I think you will enjoy this basic right.

accurate air rifle at a great price!
I have owned several pump air rifles over the years… Benjamin 312, 342, 392 and Sheridan Blue Streak. The new “Crosman C362” could be the best. It’s a classic “Pump” design but has a steel barrel and platform design features of PCP (Pre-charged pneumatic) rifles costing 3 to 5 times as much. The rifle is reportedly accurate right out of the box, using the using the installed “peep” sight. However, you can replace the plastic breech assembly with the relatively inexpensive steel breech kit. This gives a much more solid base to mount a scope. With the scope I have great accuracy with pretty tight grouping inside a half inch at about 20 yards. The rifle is powerful and hard hitting. The 22 cal model will put a pellet out with around 775 fps velocity. The rifle seems quieter than my Benjamin 342 and 392. Unlike the Benjamin 3xx series pumpers, the C362’s steel barrel design permits the attachment of a TKO moderator. With the TKO attached the “crack” of the report is reduced to a quiet “poof”. I was absolutely astounded at the reduction in the sound of the shot using theTKO. At the current price of around $110 (2022 August) it is unquestionably an excellent buy. A “good news/ bad news” note: The first rifle sent to me was poorly packaged, or badly mishandled during shipping. It arrived loose in the box, the foam cushionIng was crushed, and the plastic front sight was broken off…I notice that several reviewers had the same problem. I reordered and the second rifle arrived in good shape. Pumping this baby up to the 7 or 8 pump level for maximum power could be a challenge for some. That said, the pump lever design seems to have more leveraged than the other Benjamin/Crosman pumpers, BUT with the design comes the need to watch out, and take care NOT to snap the lever down on your fingers!! Ouch…been there, done that!! Chuck McB

Poor rear sight
Rear sight is very difficult to adjust and located way too far back. Compare this to Crosman 880 which locates the rear sight further down on the barrel and is easy to adjust. I ordered a picatinny that slides onto the barrel and will drill and tap it for a ramp sight. Also, with the stock sight, it couldn't be adjusted enough to get it closer than 1 inch to the right of center at 10 yards. I hope China copies this rifle and places the proper sights where they need to be.

Tricked out by Ralph
Accurate, easy to convert to .177 24 inch barrel, steel or brass breech. Outstanding accuracy, FPE in conversion 16+ FPE with heavy .177, plenty of power for small game and long range target or plinking. A must have classic air pumper.
