Will this fit and is it compatible with a 2022 mazda3 hatchback with the mazda roof rack? if not which roof rack is required? thanks.

Thule Tepui rooftop tents are designed to be mounted to Thule roof racks that connect to flush railings, raised roof rails, or fixed mounting points on vehicles with a maximum roof weight capacity of at least 165 pounds. They are not compatible with factory installed roof racks, or the Thule AeroBlade Edge or WingBar Edge crossbars. 
The 2022 Mazda 3 hatchback is not compatible with any current Thule roof rack systems capable of supporting a rooftop tent. You can check the online Thule Fit Guide for any updates later this year.

Thule Tepui rooftop tents are designed to be mounted to Thule roof racks that connect to flush railings, raised roof rails, or fixed mounting points on vehicles with a maximum roof weight capacity of at least 165 pounds. They are not compatible with factory installed roof racks, or the Thule AeroBlade Edge or WingBar Edge crossbars. According to our tests, the 2017 Honda HR-V meets those specifications when used with the correct roof rack system when mounted to the factory-installed flush rails that ship with that vehicle.

The 2020 Hyundai Tucson is able to safely carry a Thule Tepui rooftop tent when outfitted with a set of Thule WingBar Evo, SquareBar Evo, or ProBar crossbars. It is not compatible with the factory-installed roof rack system or the Thule AeroBlade Edge roof rack.
