I love this product and I tried to buy it every time I run out of it. But it's getting too expensive and I'm already thinking about looking for another one with similar characteristics. Besides that it leaves my curls really nice, loose and no residues

Used with another bonding product....this works great to add a little bonding and light definition. Haven't used a hair-dryer in months. Great for curly, thick, wavy hair. Scrunch and go! Thin product...be careful!

I found this stuff about 10 years ago when a stylist who specializes in Curly Girl styles used it on my hair. Oh my god!!! I had soft, full ringlets for DAYS. If you follow the directions (i.e. drying hair gently with a diffuser or air drying, using a generous amount of product, and protecting it with a satin cap at night), you will be thrilled with the results! When it is dry, the curls are soft and not crunchy. Best if used from a few inches from the scalp to the ends. Once you put it on, LEAVE IT ALONE and let it dry. You can use clips to lift areas if you feel the need. Resist messing with it, and it will form casts around your curls. One thing though: you can't comb though it after it dries. It will make your hair feel bushy and you will lose the curl. Wish I'd have known about this stuff when I was younger!

I've used Deva Curl products for over 10 years. Unfortunately, their gel product has changed and now it's AWFUL! The gel is very runny, so much that it leaks out the pump when the bottle is tipped. The gel has ZERO hold and my curls became frizzy as soon as my hair dried (I tried it on wet and dry hair with the same result). Also the company changed it's subtle pleasant scent to a strong odor that smells like my husband's deodorant. If you want frizzy hair and to smell like a man's armpit, then buy this product. Personally, I'll be shopping for a new hair gel. I wish Deva Curl would've kept what worked!

I've used Deva products for almost 20 years. I love how they work in my curly hair. They were the best and the previous version of this gel was awesome; light non-sticky hold, light clean smell. But the fragrance they've added to this new revision of the gel is so overwhelming, so sickening, I gagged every time I used it. The smell is so strong that I could actually taste it all day. I don't wear perfume but I can imagine that for someone who likes their perfume this scent would overwhelm it completely. I wrote to Deva customer service and they said they were sorry I didn't like the scent but it was "inspired" by the natural ingredients in the product. What a load of bull - as if being inspired by natural ingredients is the same thing as being a natural ingredient. I think this scent is completely toxic. Yes, they offer a strong hold gel in a fragrance free formula, but I don't need strong, sticky, stiff hold. I need the soft one. Devacurl - please change this back or make this in a fragrance free version! Happy to take down the negative review if you change it back to the amazing product it was!

I have fine curly hair. It’s thinning as I get older. My hair dresser uses DevaCurl and recommended I use it regularly. It is very light, but holds the curls. I just scrunch my wet hair with it and let it air dry. No crunchiness. I highly recommend.

Didn’t like this product at first - it is very watery , not really a gel but after several uses it does hold curl nicely and is not sticky when scrunched
