The scent I've been looking for:refreshing
I ordered three bottles since they're so small and I'm glad I did. I ran out of the brand I normally use and went to reorder and found out they were out of stock. So, I tried two other brands and was very disappointed..those brands smelled like cheap cologne. But this smells like refreshing lime! Aura cacia hasn't let me down yet as I use the helichrysum as well. I just wish they made bigger bottles. Everybody should read on the great benefits of lime essential oil and keep a bottle or two of this brand at all times!

Pleasant scent and quality.
The scent has a nice vanilla aroma in a quality jojoba blend.

Just lovely
I use it to moisturize my face when really dry. Feels light and absorbs nicely, not to mention smells great. It’s my go to perfume that lasts, and I even run a little through my hair which tends to dry out quickly. As with all essential oils, I recommend a little goes a long way towards testing if you may be sensitive to it or the carrier oil, especially when using on your face.

Hmmm, billow of lavender!
For consistency reason, like wines, companies may mix different lavender oils to “standardize” the aroma for each bath. After all, all natural products vary due to weather, rainfall, geographic locations, etc. That is why at times we see companies offer 40/42 blend( 40% to 42% of the aromatic chemical compound linalyl acetate), which is the stable for perfumery industry. The most popular species is angustifolia/officinalis, or commonly call “English lavender” or “true lavender”, due to its distinctive soft, floral scent. To clarify, these common names can be misleading, since this species is not native to England, and all other lavender species are not “fake”.Companies may blend angustifloia oil with those from other species such as latifolia (spike lavender), intermedia (hybrid lavender or lavandin), etc. Each company has its own recipe. Therefore, at times, some oils may smell more flora, comphorous, or woody. In general, the floral scent is preferred by most, and thus demands higher price. Please remember that the floral scent from natural lavender oil is soft. Therefore, some people think certain oils are “watered down”, because their aromas are not strong enough or don’t last long enough. Since most of us don’t have analysis equipments to analyze the purity or oil blend, we can only judge from our nose and experience, which can be subjective. Please also remember that light exposure, temperature, and age affect greatly on the aroma. If the oil is exposed to sunlight or high heat, it deteriorates faster, and thus may have a rancid or sour odor. In addition, the fresher the oil, the better the aroma (except certain oils such as sandalwood, myrrh, patchouli, etc.) Therefore, it is better to purchase oils from reputable vendors. With that said, my lavender oil by Aura Cacia is very floral. From top, middle, through base note, the floral scent is obvious, though gradually transitions into woody scent. I have directly applied it on my face and don't seem to have any allergic reaction so far. It is always safer to dilute it with a carrier oil, or dab a little on a small surface. My opinion speaks for my experience, and is for reference and entertainment purposes only.

lovely to add into skincare products
This is an affordable and excellent smelling oil. I do like some jojoba oil for homemade skincare products anyways so it's doubly good. I mixed some of this in for a body butter recipe with some other scents and it worked great.

Very nice scent but….
The scent fades too soon. I put it on and literally within about ten minutes it’s already mostly gone. Which is sad because it’s a LOVELY blend of sandalwood.

Sell out! Frankincense isn’t the same- YUCK - No Refund
I was really looking forward to using this frankincense oil, but as soon as I opened it, I was hit with a strong chemical smell—completely unpleasant. I’ve purchased this exact product made by the same company in the past and loved it, but what I received this time was definitely not the same. It smelled more like a cleaning product than essential oil. Very disappointed. NO REFUND

THE BEST
This is by far my favorite brand of lavender oil, I've used Aura Cacia for over 10yrs. Good quality! The scent is perfect, cool, true lavendar. The best for sleep because it's cool lavender & nothing else.I've tried other brands & they are okay, some good. TERRA would be my other choice. Ive tried those cheap 4oz dropper oils off Amazon & those are artificial mixed in carrier oils. This one is my personal choice & none of their other oils have ever let me down-all have been fabulous quality!!Some people are very particular about their lavendar oil scent. I am as well & prefer this one. Like the description says, it has a sweet floral lavender top note, an herbal mid note & woody bottom note. So this isn't a very sweet lavender. It's lavendar but has a much more herbal, woody tone underneath it. Very spa-like. If you're used to super sweet lavander, lavender vanilla mixes, or aren't a fan of more herbal leaning scents maybe another choice is for you. I mention this because I noticed some people have called it "rancid" or not pure even after smelling multiple bottles & imo that's just personal preference.Shipping was 2 days, well packaged, new bottle.
