Bought to be able to trim my child’s wire and change out the colors around brackets. Worked great. For the 3 instruments, I thought it was a good deal.

Cutting tool for tough wire
Found these looking for cutters, snips, nippers to cut, snip, nip plastic repair staples after installing. The cutters that came with the kit became damaged after cutting just one. Looked a while for cutters that can handle the stainless staples. Figured cutters for stainless dental wire should be tough. The photos of the cutters are AFTER cutting a staple in several pieces. No damage. Looking good! These are 5" long so will be able to get into tight areas. These are listed as a dental tool. No markings on them other than country of manufacture. Will update how well they do after the upcoming ATV plastics repair. As of now, worth considering. UPDATE! Performed a plastic repair that used 50 (fifty) staples. Used the cutters to snip the 100 tabs. No visible cutter damage! Pic added. Which is it? These are well worth the price and adding to your tool box!

Very well made - Handy in a pinch
I bought these because I had a wire in my braces come loose and ended up having to cut it because I didn't have anything that could manipulate the wire. I have used this to adjust my wires from poking and setting them back in the bracket. Excellent insurance.

Functionally useless.
The quality of manufacture of this tool is so poor that you can not release it with one hand. It is designed to engage and lock in one of 3 slots with one squeeze and then release the pressure and open up with another squeeze. Unfortunately it is so roughly made that 7 out of 10 times it fails to release and becomes stuck. This means that you must use two hands to release it. That is useless when you need the free hand to manipulate the rubber band in your mouth. Even a bit of oil did not help. I returned it for a refund.
