Hi there, is this spatula "made in france" or china? thank you

Checked the handle. It states "Made in France".

Is it normal for the spatula’s blade to burn from cooking dry caramel? Should it be replaced?

You can certainly burn or discolor these spatulas. Even so they are my go to daily cooking tool for nearly evry thing except pancakes or eggs.

Question to the manufacturer : can I use this spatula to mix sodium hydroxide and water? I need to mix lye for soap making. Thanks!

I believe so, as I have used it in a synthetic Indigo dye bath. It is now the designated spatula for mixing Indigo, and will not be used for food. tho. Also, some of my spatulas are 25 years old and still in service.
