Yes they are water proof to a certain extend. Out if the 3 sets (6 total strands) I had up for Halloween, 1 of them stopped working within a couple of days. Not really sure what happened. The other 5 worked without any issues, even after several FL rainstorms and sprinklers hitting them throughout the weeks.
