More precisely it depends on how you measure and the position of the rotating ends. I measure right about 6.7 measuring parallel to the thick body, with the "holes part" on that side lined up parallel to that axis and the holes part on the thinner end rotated perpendicular to that axis. Total length when folded closed is a little under 5 inches.
