The mbot 2 is really good. Service from the mbot team was also very efficient. Great little robot and daughter loves it

Daughter enjoyed building it. Frustration crept in trying to get it all connected, so Dad spent some time with it to do that (with some minor cursing admittedly). Once connected, all is good. Too soon to judge how sturdy it is, but it stood up to the Christmas use. And it does look cool.

Brilliant if you want to teach your kids the basics of coding and problem solving great toy to be starting with. Take a while to get you head rounds the ins and outs but once you have it all worked out you will loose hours playing with it. I now have to wait till the kids are in bed before i get my turn. :-)

Great platform to get your children interested in robotics and coding

Well, as a parents I think that we all want to get all the best for our kids in order to them get higher education standards. This robot fills the duty, with a more curious mind, the ability to increase the creativity and expand my son’s brain.

Poor instructions about what to do after it’s been built. Bluetooth does not work with a laptop (MacBook) Confusing apps for iOS First one did not work, which led to a disappointing Christmas morning. Replacement did a few days later. If the instructions were clearer and the app delivery was better then this would be a five star product.

I bought this to introduce my grandkids to programming. Straight away, out of the box, after assembly, it failed to even present a UI to connect to local wifi. The gobbledygook help online pushed me to installing a windows mBlock 5 development app on the basis it would connect via usb (my kids don't have windows) to the mBot2. Only thing is, it didnt work, not identifying the bot in a plug-n-play sort of wat. So I went through to selection process to download the drivers/code for the bot and the cyber thing but neither would down load. By this time I'm 30 minutes in and realised that this expensive piece of rubbish would never be acceptable to my 10 years olds. It was supposed to easily connect to wifi and then easily have been managed on an IOS platform where graphical block based program could be easily constructed. I DOESNT WORK.

This robot has EVERYTHING! I mean from locking the wheel position to the cyber pi having a SMART SCREEN THAT IS PROGRAMMABLE! Just buy this robot. You will be so happy that you wished you bought it way earlier.

I just received the mBot NEO to use with my class. We have the previous mBots and love them. This new mBot NEO has many new features that my kids are going to go crazy over. I used a combination of the printed guide and the online directions. The printed guide is helpful because you can match the screws with the actual size photo to make sure you have the correct item each step of the way. I'm not the most technical and it did take me a minute to notice that the included screwdriver switches from a Phillips to a hex nut, but after I figured that out, it was smooth sailing. 4th and 5th graders can build this with limited supervision. It lasts 5 hours and is rechargeable without taking the robot apart. This is one of the features that my robotics team is most excited about. It simply connects to a computer or USB charging cube with one cord. The built-in features get you moving immediately and they have added some really cute features for the younger kids. The Makeblock app controls the robot and we used it on an iPad. Easy peasy.
