What is the depth in the ceiling as i want it for my campervan roof

Mine was for standard plasterboard which is a centimetre thick. With plenty left for extraction pipe attachment. At 5 or 6 cm.

Is the 'chrome' actual chrome or chrome-coloured plastic?

Plastic- don’t know the manufacturing process maybe vacuum deposition? But very effective. Anything metal with chrome plating would eventually fail in a moist atmosphere.
