I'm very new to airbrushing. Just got my first AK Fine-art airbrush and this set of paint supposed to be my learning tool. Was looking for Vallejo AIR ones, but decided to try this one because of primer bottle in the set. So. I haven't tried everything yet, just took Alien Purple one to try my Airbrush on peace of bristol paper. Shaked well dropped into cup (as it is stated READY to GO) and got some ---.-.- - . - - lines. So first thoughts were it's my fault (as that's my first try) or something with 0.3mm nozzle airbrush. But after checking the paint cup, it looked quite strange. like a quite too thick for my knowledge. So I dropped few drops of Vallejo Thinner. No much change in spray lines. So I decided to clean airbrush from paint with Vallejo airbrush cleaner I have. And after this procedure I did see what's happening. Airbrush didn't clean at all. Some thick purple particles stay on needle and walls. even after 3 times I tried to clean them up. So long story short. After I eventually cleaned airbrush from all of those clogs I dropped some amount of this purple paint into small jar and find its consistency not very smooth and a way too thick for Airbrush. So I thinned it with a thinner in about 1:1 ratio to get something like sprayable and mixed very well. After that it went quite smooth and nice. Don't know yet about other colours and a primer. But as very first was acting that way I just can guess that from few to all of them will be needed to prepare same way before putting them into the airbrush. So it is very hard to agree these are ready to go paints. Not sure is it quality control issue or maybe incorrect storage issue. UPDATE After some painting I'm giving a 4 stars instead of 3. When You get use to them paints (at least the ones I have used at a moment) they are definitely not bad. Yes I'm still have to thin them a bit and use a Flow Improver to use them with 0.3mm nozzle with 25psi air pressure. Had no problem with Primer and RED, BLACK and LEATHER colours.

Spent years using Vallejo Air and genuinely thought the issue was me. I'd use all sorts of medium and still get clogging regularly, and spend a day and an age cleaning after use - regardless of airbrush. Now I've got these Army Painter ones I'm never looking back, no medium mixing faff, just minutes between colour changes, minutes for a full clean out. so impressed. Once I've used up my standard Warpaints (brushing on), I'm just going to use these as they are a spot on match, brush on smoothly too and the pigmentation is just perfect. I currently use a Cult of Paint Evo and honestly this combination is just the best.

All the essential colours

I got these as a gift so I could spray paint book edges and it works perfectly and drys really quick I’m so happy. I haven’t perfected it yet but that’s user error and nothing to do with these beautiful paints

These paints are definitely expensive but the quality is much better than many others I have tried. And the finish on them is really good. The addition of some mixing balls is fantastic. Thickness is perfect and coverage is great. No blocks on my airbrush so far. Easy to use for a beginner
