Works great!
I received this 2 days ago. It works great in my minimal setup .... a modest turntable and an old pair of A/D/S speakers.I'm a recovering audiophile and tried to keep my expectations low. I -would- complain if I found something really bad, like scratchy knobs or bad noise. But I didn't find anything like that. It does what it says in the description, nothing more or less.I haven't tried the send/return loop or the aux-input yet. But the tone knobs work as expected, the headphone level works, and the main fader is a neat choice.Despite its tiny size and weight, there is lots of evidence of high quality. The included cables/etc are good quality, if you need them.So far I am very happy with this purchase. I'll try to remember to post an update in a few weeks/months if I have any issues with it.

This amp has a wonderful preamp
My application is an outdoor-to-indoor intercom. The inside person must be able to monitor the outside without the outsider's knowledge. I have not seen a commercial intercom that is both inconspicuous and able to monitor anonymously.A simple outdoor speaker can also be a microphone, but its output is too low to drive an ordinary amp. The Maker Hart amp is unique because it has a phono preamp input. No other mini-amp that I've seen has a preamp. The preamp is perfect for processing a speaker when used as a microphone. The amp works without distortion, noise, or sound-level compression. You can hear the birds chirping. The intercom requires a little switching arrangement to accommodate the speaking-listening functions, but in the end, a two-wire audio cable connects speakers both inside and outside.

if you crave clarity and maximum output from a LP this is for you - i am a fan of it
I have been using records my whole life with a continuation of buying them before they even became trendy again. I am talking about in the mid to late nineties i started a collection. I was always fascinated with my parents collection which then led to them making sure they saved not only the LP's but various record players as well. I am therefore a good source of commentary on a good phono sound due to my exposure to record players and equipment spanning thirty years or so.I am very happy to own this small and very user friendly amp that specializes in record playing. What makes this unit up to date is the mini 3.5 jack inputs on the back so you can send modern signals and effects into the mix if you want to. These 3.5 ports can also act independently to just showcase whatever is being projected there.I can't stress the sound quality benefits of using an amp lie this which is meant to handle there magnetic signals from the needle to sync perfectly with a clear audio presentation. I am obviously using my own terminology and have no interest in technical language in relation to audio terms. I base my record listening on laymens descriptions of what i hear. The main thing that this amp works to do is give the listener a buzzing and excess feedback free experience and this nice little one from the Maker Hart brand is an instant favorite of mine.I like the thick flat head accessible ground screw which is large enough to keep the ground wire from the record player in place. I always joke around about that area on mixers not being large enough to accommodate the record player and now finally i have a design that works logically with how i would design it. This is truly an amp seemingly designed for me.I love the front equalizer controls which keep it simple and work super well. With a record the mid, high and low knobs basically mimic the same main controls that would be on a mixer. I recently had the record player i just hooked up to this attached to a name brand two channel mixer and the knobs available did not even come close to equalizing the sound like this amp did. This unit is small and not too heavy which is great for easy placement with other equipment. In conclusion i am very happy with this and recommend this for vinyl record enthusiasts.

Excellent compact amp!
I was looking for a compact amp for my desktop that could drive my speakers with decent sound quality, rather than having to hide a full sized receiver. This amp exceeded my expectations as well as left no compromise in terms of sound quality, despite its compact size. Its build quality is excellent, which makes it a great addition to my desk. The solid chassis, milled knobs, and slider give this product a high quality feel. Although the manufacturer suggested use with 4 or 8 ohm/25-50 watt speakers, I connected it to 2 JBL N26 speakers that are 8 ohm/125 watts. The sound was very crisp, even at high volume, with no sign of distortion. The 3 band eq works very well in fine tuning the sound, which results in rich deep bases and clear highs and mids. The eq is also great for gaming. I plugged my wireless SteelSeries Arctis Pro headset and was able to make sound adjustments on the fly to isolate mids and high, such as footsteps in game, without the need to open third-party software. It remained rather cool while driving the speakers at a high volume, which was surprising for its size. It includes a 1/8" aux cable along with 2 RCA to bare wires intended for speakers as well as 2 high quality RCA line level cables.Overall, in terms of price, this product is very hard to beat with its high sound fidelity and overall great build quality. I hope that in the near future Maker Hart lists the speakers that go with this amp separately, as they currently only sell them as a set with this amp. Definitely recommend!
