My second purchase
I've used the lumma disc for three years. I originally bought it from the main site but it was by far cheaper through Amazon this time around. This truly is a great product and I'm never going back to tampons and pads. I did boil it for a few secs as instructed when you first receive it before use. I use soapy water n toy cleaner or peroxide to clean it. I tried to boil it once as a way to clean it and I felt like it would wear faster by cleaning it this way. Idk if it's true just my opinion. Etheir way mine never stained or obtain a smell at any point so I'm happy. Another fear I had when I first bought it lol will it slip out. No it never slips out. (And don't freak out if you wear it during sex it takes about a hour for your ceverix to move lower so you can get it out. When your aroused it moves up high) Right about at the three year mark I noticed a small hole below the rim forming n tossed it. I've always had a heavy flow where super plus just wasn't good enough. The disc allows me to not worry as much through those first 2 days of hell. I've also noticed I no longer occasionally get infections toward the end. It took me about two months to know when I might need to dump it if it gets too full before needing to actually used the restroom. I still use a ultra thin pad for the first day as a just encase. Maybe in time I might let that fear go idk. Lol for anyone considering to try it id say to go for it but go in with a grain of salt in your thinking. Bc we are all different n I don't think we'll ever get a design that allows us to never occasionally get our hands dirty. But I feel like this product has made that time of the month more bearable to endure. I can not express enough how nice it is to leave the house and not have to carry 10 tampons and two pads since I'll be gone all day. Or dread working on that first day worried my boss might complain how often I use the restroom. And allowing that occasional infection towards the end to make me feel like I'm not doing something right bc in the last three years it's been nonexistent.

Edit: I thought this was my one
Edit: I was so excited and this worked ok for the end of my period it was the only disc that I didn't have to fight with go get in but now that I started a new cycle I'm starting to think it's not I'm not sure why this is happening because I was pretty sure it was the one. However it is now giving me monster cramps and is not holding more than an hour then leaking. I know it is the right size because I also bought some obscure off brand that is just barely bigger than this and it fits perfectly. I think what is happening is because the bowl part of it is too soft and folds up super easy and I think my cervix is dropping into it and the ring around it is pressing on my cervix. If you got the small and this is happening the one that I got that is perfect is almost identical to the small saalt disc. I think I just needed that grove to hold it off my cervix because holy wow the cramps from this in the beginning of a cycle Original: I've tried so many discs and I was to the point where I thought I was going to have to give up and use cups and dump them every couple hours. I have a heavy flow but an extremely low cervix like almost alarmingly low I've had 3 kids and I'm assuming that's probably why. Cups have always sat wierd with me but sinse my last baby I cant use the small cups because they leak and I cant use the large cups because they sat so low that the bottom of the cup itself not the stem the actual cup would stick out when I used the restroom. This actually put pressure and would stop the flow and I would have to take it out to urinate. The disposable discs worked ok but I think it was because they were so stiff that it was way jammed in there, to the point of not auto dumping. I started off with Ziggy which was way way too big, it is about the same size as the disposable but too soft and wouldn't stay so I went for stiffer and smaller and it would auto dump but would actually come partially out pinched and block the urine flow and it never went back on its own I had to retuck. So I went smaller and softer and this caused a lot of leaking during intimacy and on my heavy flow days. So I found this the lumma short is the smallest one I could find and it was awesome when I put it in because it is stiff enough that I didn't need lube and went right under my cervix no fight so far I haven't had any leaks. And it is so comfortable it is nice to have a disc that doesn't push on my bladder or block pee. Or pinch my urethra. I am going to give t a couple months and if it still works this wonderfully I am going to buy another one.

Works Great for High Cervix
I ordered Lumma High Cervix after originally trying saalt as my first disc. I could not get the saalt disc to tuck at all (I had the regular size) and I knew something was up. I felt like I couldn’t reach all the way to get it tucked. I did research on discs for high cervix and this one came up. For the price I thought it was definitely worth a shot and if that didn’t work I was going to give up on the disc lifestyle. Happy to say that I got the Lumma disc inserted on my FIRST try! I didn’t believe it and checked for leaks constantly (paranoia from the saalt experience) but it lasted all day and I can immediately tell and feel that i tucked and placed it properly. I’m a super heavy bleeder so on my heavy day I probably will not leave it on for 12 hours but after my heavy day I had it on for more than 8 hours with no issues. If you’re having issues with getting a disc to stay in place. I definitely recommend the High Cervix size.

Music festival approved
My first weekend trying this disc was over a 3 day music festival and I’m sooooooooo impressed. It has been a while since I used a menstrual cup and I had never used a disc before, I’ve used Luna and Saalt cup. I always take the quiz on putacupinit .com and it recommended I try a disc. There is no leaking, never felt gross down there, and there is no pressure on my bladder. It stays in place and isn’t noticeable at all. The worst part was changing it in a porta potty lol but I won’t be doing that again for a little bit. I can’t say enough good things! <3

Good for light days, No go for heavy days
I recently switched from using a menstrual cup to trying a disposable disk and I'll never go back to a cup again. That said I really prefer to use a reusable product and I liked how these looked and they were more cost-effective than the Flex Reusable. I went with a medium as that was recommended on their site. Insertion was trickier than the disposables, probably because the rim is a little softer and getting into position was harder but I managed. I did feel the string when it was in so I cut it off. What I noticed though is that the material of the cup is kind of thick and it folds into itself in a way that I think might not allow it to hold as much as a disposable which has a cup made of very thin plastic. I put this to the test on this cycle. On day 1, no issues but my flow was pretty light. Day 2 though was a no-go. It barely held anything, I got a leak just sitting at my desk. I had to switch to a disposable which worked just fine. I ended up going out and buying the Flex Reusable, after all. I should have just bought it in the first place.

Still love it 3 years in
I got mine in March 2023, and am writing this review in April 2026. I still love it. I used disposable pads before this and it’s so much less stressful now. I still wear period underwear as backup since I have occasional leaks when I don’t put it in correctly, but it is way less stressful. I was also concerned at first about accidentally auto-dumping when working out. That never happened, and I lift weights frequently. It is messy. It will get on your hands when removing, but the ability to wear it for 12 hours and auto dump when it gets full means I have never had to remove it in public. I really prefer the reduced waste from reusable products. My one complaint about this is that the string for removal starts to annoy me towards the end of my period, so I ended up fully removing it once I got good at removing it without using the string. 10/10, would buy again. It’s a little stained but you don’t get a menstrual disc for the looks.

Major leakage issue for me...
Perhaps it's just the shape of my internals, having a rather low and angled cervix, (and the first few days of my moon the cervix drops even more,..) but this did not work for me in the slightest... Constantly leaked through, had to wear pads, and even leaked through those, as if it made it worse than just free bleeding somehow. It's honestly been highly stressful each moon since deciding to try it out. I gave it three tries. With all the positive reviews, I was really hoping it would work for me, like it has for so many others, but alas... I have already gone back to the cup, and will never try a disc again,... so much blood man, never felt safe or comfortable, and the constant worry and stress of leakage was really taking a toll on my psyche. The disc top seemed firm enough, but the cup felt too flexible, it never plumped out at all for me, just stayed crumpled up.. no matter how hard I tried to help it,.. again, perhaps it's just because of my shape,.. or I got a faulty one,.. or, it just sucks. I am bummed, and feel like I waisted my money, as the window for return has long since passed. So, if you have an angled cervix that drops, and endo that causes excess inflammation, maybe go with the cup instead. 😉

Behold! My Goldilocks! Finally!
I have been on this months long journey trying to find a replacement to my many decades use of Kotex tampon usage since Kotex had discontinued their security line tampons. I did use a disposable disc a year after my daughter was born back in 2005/06 but never really went back to it because of a high cervix it kinda got lost and was super messy but it never leaked, but I was definitely turned off by the messy removal and dealing with a tot just wasn’t ideal for me at the time. Fast forward to 2022 and I’m at my wits end trying to find a substitute to my favorite tampon when I remembered the disc but I couldn’t remember the name of it. I found the Flex disposable but it definitely wasn’t what I used before and I seem to remember the other disc as being smaller and softer. I did not have any success at all with Flex. I did buy 2 different size cups from Venus and 2 different size disc from Moonthlies. Last 3 cycles have been nothing but a nightmare. I’ve done nothing but cried(I don’t cry), had temper tantrums, Beyond moody, super agitated, and ready to fight an innocent stuffed animal for being in the wrong place. I just couldn’t get the cups to work. They would always remained collapsed or have indents. If by a miracle it kinda open a bit, it would slip down (both sizes) or I just couldn’t pee or have very slow pee stream where I was straining to pee. The large disc wasn’t firm enough and as soon as I attempt to put it in more than half way it would crumble up like a wadded tissue paper. Even on my heaviest days. The smaller disc was much better by my 2nd cycle BUT it did get lost where I honestly thought I needed to send in a search and rescue team to retrieve it. The smaller disc is hard to put in place but not as difficult as the larger disc and far less frustrating as the cups but still not my goldilocks as I keep hearing about in reviews. Well finally today in the middle of my heaviest flow my new disc arrived, Lumma M with the string. I cried! I didn’t have to fight with it to go in! It went right where it needed to go! The removal? I CRIED! why cry? Because the string was right at the entrance where I didn’t have to hunt for it! No more temper tantrums, aggravation, moodiness, and stuffed animals feel less threatened. Now I’m strangely suspicious if it’ll fail me but right now I’m enjoying the complete ease of this disc. And finally grateful I found the one.

Very impressed
I had been thinking of swapping to a menstrual cup for a few months, due to my flow increasing. My research led me to discs instead as better for first time users that never had kids. This was the first time I tried a disc and I found it extremely easy to figure out. Once it's in you can not feel it at all, the cord tickled sometimes but I just had to tuck it in. I worn it for five days straight, at home and at work, and it didn't leak once. Absolutely loved not having to worry about changing pads during shifts. I guess discs are indeed a game changer and I can 100% recommend this one!

Super toll!
