Helpful scanner, a fraction of the cost of the Fujitsu Fi series.
Great little scanners at a great price. They're fast, reliable, and simple.

Speedy Scanner
Happy with the purchase. Needed a faster scanner with ethernet connection. This fits the bill. Scans receipts, cards, letters and the usual 8-1/2 x 11" paper.

Finally, a decnt priced TWAIN networkable scanner
Ricoh bought Fujitsu, and Fujitsu Twain scanners were the standard for medical facilities, but expensive. The SP-1130Ne is prices about the same as the ScanSnaps (which do not have Twain drivers) and with the benefit of being both ethernet and USB3. Fast too. The caveat though is that networked only one user can connect at a time, and no other user can connect until the current user disconnects. We have only a couple networked though - the majority are USB to a specific workstation.

A piece of cheap junk
First of all, only send a European plug? What am I supposed to do with that? Oh, find the ONE European adapter in my home and try to make it work. Like that’s a typical option for Americans. THEN the cheap company suddenly called “RICOH” isn’t available to answer tech support questions and the drivers available don’t even offer this cheap model as an option for downloading? Then to add insult to injury, because my project will NOT be finished tonight without a scanner, I have to DRIVE this piece of junk to Amazon to return it?I am furious about this. Why sell thiS JUNK at all. Oh wait, so that we can be furious and have to spend DOUBLE the money replacing it. Understood. It’s the ugly upswell

Machine is great, support is great, but software is clunky.
Machine is great, support is great, but software is clunky. I have used other scanning software but now there are no drivers for this unit that work with VueScan scanning software.Unless you are doing basic scanning, setting up the software for more complex scanning is a long learning cure and leaves a lot to be desired. However, support was great is helping me work it out.I have a huge scanning project of letter sized pages in 3 holes binders. In order to get a good scan without the holes I have to crop the scanned area the same on both sides, save the scanned area, and then open the scan in Adobe Reader to then Print to PDF that centers the scanned area on a full letter sized page. They are aware of this, so hopefully this will be addressed in the future. Using VueScan I was able to crop the edge with the holes and the saved scan would be full letter size with the scanned area positioned properly.Properly set up with the help and patience from support the scans are crisp and clean. All of the background noise is gone.

It's good to support Twain driver
I am using this scanner for document scan, and the both speed and quality are good. But the price is a little bit expensive!
