About this item Kesar is a small to medium fruit with a ovalish shape and a distinct curved tip. It having skin that is a dull, slightly mottled Saffron colour, perhaps with a green tinge when less mature. Inside it is a different matter: a deep yellow-orange flesh, smooth and fragrant with intense sweetness when they are in peak condition. There can be a slight acid edge to the flavour in less mature fruit, but many people will enjoy this complexity. Also known as Gir Kesar, Kesar mango is cultivated on the foothill of Girnar in Gujarat.This mango was first grown by Junagadh Wazir in Vanthali in the year 1931. It has been named after Saffron or Kesar because of its orange hue. After Alphonso, Kesar is the one of the most expensive mangoes. This is a grafted Mango Plant can grow almost all indian climate and Soil. You can easily plant on the terrace also in the pot. This shrub Plant can increase the beauty of your home and garden. Gir kesar Gujarat Mango tree shipped from West Bengal

I had ordered this Mango tree assuming that it will be shipped from Gujarat as it is Gir Kesar. But when it arrived I was surprised to see it was shipped from West Bengal. I have planted the tree let us which Mango grows on it....
