Eats up rust
While installing an aftermarket exhaust system for my car, I had to reuse the factory exhaust bolts that bolted up to the factory uppipe. 2 years plus salty winter roads does a number on bolts in the undercarriage of the car. I didn't want to risk cross-threading so I wanted to clean off the rust on the bolts prior to reinstallation. After removing as much rust off the bolts as possible using a wire brush, I dropped the four bolts into a takeout pint container and submerged them using Krud Kutter. I saw visible results after 2 hours, but I waited a whole 24 hours before taking them out to use. All the rust on the threads were gone and the reinstallation went smoothly.

Seems to work really well on Chrome that is "lightly" rusted
When I bought my truck, it came with some very cheap Devino wheels. The center hub covers are chrome, and after a few months of regular highway driving they were beginning to take on a foggy appearance - definitely not shiny like they should be. I didn't care...I planned on replacing them eventually but it got so bad they were starting to rot in spots and it was an eye-sore. Rather than paying $50 each for new hub covers for $75 wheels...I decided to go for the $9 restoration alternative using Krud Kutter...a brand that was new to me.After reading the instructions, I was happy there wasn't much to the process. I simply washed the hub covers by squirting water from an old 2-liter bottle on them and then squirted the Krud Kutter on the top and let it permeate the entire surface. After a few minutes of soaking, I squirted the covers again with some water and noticed no difference. When I got a rag and buffed them, however, almost all of the rusty spots disappeared. The bad spots are still there, but I don't expect this product to reverse advanced stages of corrosion. At a glance, my wheels look very nice now and all of the actual oxidizing spots are gone. This restored the shine in the chrome that was still good, and I'm sure it probably would work better if you could put what you're "krud kutting" in a bucket or container and let it sit in the Krud Kutter itself.Very happy with the results - I wasn't expecting a lot but this stuff really does work! I'll be using it to restore my front bumper when I replace and sell it! Note - for projects that are larger, you'll need a bigger bottle. 8 oz. was perfect for 4 8-lug wheel hub covers. For a whole bumper, you'll probably need one complete bottle.

It took work, but it cut through thick rust.
We had a metal cabinet on our vinyl floor for years, and it left a horrific rust deposit on our floor. It took quite a bit of “elbow grease,” but this stuff cut through the rust with the help of a non-scratch scrubber, and we finally got through to the shiny clean vinyl below!

Works great. Just pricey.
If you're cleaning old bolts and nuts from a 30 year old truck, like I am, this stuff will be your best friend. I cannot argue with the results, which are fantastic. This stuff is just kinda expensive for what you get. But definitely not disappointed given how well it worked.
