ESV Study Bible, Turquoise: English Standard Version, Trutone, Turquoise, Emblem Design

I have read multiple Bible versions over the years, and admit that I really got very little out of my efforts. My childhood Bible was an RSV, which I struggled with as a child, and then again as as adult. The language did not flow for me, and it wasn’t enjoyable to read. I moved to an NIV which was much more comprehensible, but seemed to have lost the depth and detail of the ancient text. This ESV Study Bible strikes me as the perfect balance. Not only is it pleasurable to read, the footnotes are absolutely invaluable, as are the overviews at the beginning of each book. They provide the historic, geographic, and chronological context that is missing in the Bible, illustrated through maps, diagrams, tables, timelines and graphs. The detail is my favorite part, and ensures a deeper and richer comprehension of scripture. If one is relatively new to Christ as I am, this Bible is indispensable. It has accelerated my learning process tenfold.

The Bible itself is beautiful and the most informative study bible I've found (I have 6 others) BUT! Mine came with sticky residue all over the cover and binding and 1/4 of the pages inside were bent in half. Super frustrating after spending a decent amount to have something so used and in rough shape.Buy the Bible but maybe skip this retailer?

Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic study Bible, and if you could only have one study Bible, get this one.My only gripe with it is that the ESV translation does not capitalize pronouns referring to God, nor do the study notes/articles.

I obviously live it because of what is written in it. I also love the soft cover and color of it. My hub added the color coded tabs.

Love this bible. I originally got this cover option in the compact size and was pleasantly surprised when I found it as a study bible with this cover. I will be grabbing the personal size as well as an everyday bible. Really nice and a lot of info. Pages are a little thin but that was expected for being a non premium bible.
