Not iHome App Compatible
About a year later, I am updating my review from 3 to 4 stars. I did originally purchase these with the expectation that they would work with my iHome app and they didn't, which disappointed me. However, I did keep these plugs and they have been working great. I even purchased two more recently to have more available smart plugs in the house. I love that I can set schedules for the plug to turn on and off and turn the plug on and off with my phone app.The entire reason I chose these is because I already have an iHome plug & the iHome app and I didn't want to have to download another app. These plugs are not compatible with the iHome app. You will be forced to download another random app to use them. However, separate from the app frustration, the plugs have been working just fine.

Includes Energy Monitoring that others are Lacking
These plugs are great. The Geeni app is very simple to setup, and within seconds of plugging the new smart plugs in, the app found them and they connected without issue. BN-Link makes similar Smart Plugs, but they do not have Energy Monitoring, which is ridiculous. It's nice to be able to turn the switches off/on with your phone, but seeing how much power the device plugged into the smart plug is drawing, in real time, and over a period of a year is a crucial feature that many competitors are lacking as of late. The blame is the chip shortage (of course it is, funny how others like this product don't have that issue and include Energy Monitoring, I think it's a way to make a cheaper product for the same price).Make sure you allow Bluetooth with the app so it can easily find the new plugs. Also, you can use the Device Widget to turn the switches on/off on iOS, which is awesome. You can also add a picture icon for the plugs. BN-Link also removed this feature. This is nice because you can take a picture of whatever the plug is powering and use it as your icon. Small, but nice feature. There are few reviews because this product was released 4 months ago, so it's new. So far, I highly recommend, and the price is very reasonable. The picture I included is the Device Widget showing the icons.

Works okay….
… but the Geeni smart dots work notably better.

Strong wifi
I had to-link smart plugs that kept dropping Wi-Fi and therefore useless. These have never dropped and monitor energy usage great

Not compatible with Apple Homekit
As others have mentioned, this isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit, though it's earlier version were. I have three of the older iHome SPX6, works flawlessly with HomeKit. Returning this. I should've read the product description better.Any reason why the product creators dropped HomeKit support?

Works as expected! Using it to see how much various appliances, etc. use.
I haven't added Alexa yet, but expect no problem. It reads out the consumption on a daily basis, so for example, my fairly large, mini-fridge typically uses .74kw. Nice. One thing that would be nice is ability to access that data when the device is not plugged in.

DOES NOT WORK WITH Apple HomeKit
I returned these. They did not work with Apple HomeKit. I suggest that this be plainly noted in the product description.
