Great Option - Safe & Realistic
This candle works and looks great. It also lasts a long time on two C Batteries (not included.) I had one going continuously for almost 5 months before I had to change the battery. I bought this a few times and gave them to people when they lost a loved one. I find it safer than leaving a real candle on and it looks realistic. At night the flame flickering is more noticeable and almost soothing. The protective cover can be removed, but I’ve left mine on.

Good value
Very pleased with this candle! It looks fairly real and the quality is as good as the candelara brand, at half the price. We have no open flame candles because of curious cats. These have a nice glow and we like the gently moving, flickering flame. Accurate sizing. We didn't need a remote since it comes on automatically each day.

Great candles
We love these candles. They are bright and look like real candles. We love that they have a built in timer so they go on automatically and turn off 5 hours later.

So real I wanted to blow it out!
Okay first of all I'm surprised that the rating on this candle isn't higher than 4.6 although if I could I'd give it a 4.9. First off, I really like this candle for it having the ability to emulate a real candle with a wick. first off, I don't think that anyone should give the majority of candles that are on the market as a gift. Most are scented and while they smell great in a store unless someone really knows what scents you like a scented candle isn't going to work. Let's face it some candles are so strong you're not going to get rid of the scent until the Fourth of July if you got that Eucalyptus and Cinnamon scented candle for Christmas from a friend or i the exchange a gift at the office Christmas party. Am I correct? Okay so the candle looks great, doesn't smell and its battery-operated all things being equal, I didn't read the description of the seller and after opening the candle I see that it takes C batteries, seriously when is the last time I used C batterie in my house? Maybe when my kiddos were younger. I have a supply of AA Amazon* batteries, a small pack of AAA batteries and enough 9-volt batteries for replacing the batteries in all my smoke detectors in January but C batteries? Not so much. Okay, I admit my trash and recycle cans use C batteries and I use the rechargeable ones that need charging once a year. I had some that needed to be recharged and finally I was able to see what this candle looked like and frankly; I was impressed but when I read the sellers description it confused me stating that the candles were charged by AA, AAA, and C batteries. I wish that they sent me the candles that worked with AA batteries* Oh yeah, I usually buy the Duracell batteries at Costco, but I saw the reviews on the Amazon battery so after ordering them I was impressed with the quality. After all isn't that what we are looking for in batteries? And, oh yeah, candles.

Good candle
Looks good, works well and was a great price. I think I’ll pay more for a remote operated one next time.

It actually looks like a real candle.
I wanted to put realistic fake candles in a couple of decorative lanterns in my dinning room, that turn on and off automatically. I wanted a fake candle that actually looked like a real glowing candle. The ones I've seen in stores and on web searches the flame part is a thin piece of plastic that is lighted up that looks pretty close to a flame looking straight on. However when moving to the side, you just see a thin piece of lighted plastic. I then discovered this candle and found that the flame part is three dimensional (3D). It flickers and wobbles just like a real candle flame. The exterior is wax and feels just like a real candle. Best looking fake candle I have ever seen. It actually looks like a real candle. With the two "C" batteries, the description says should get around 1000 hours of use from the batteries. The candles come with a remote which has four settings on brightness. So if the candle is set to a lower setting that could very well extend the number of hours of light. Another feature of the remote is you can set it for four (4) or eight (8) hours. I set mine for the 4 hours which will also lengthen the number of hours of light before the batteries die. Another option is the default setting of 5 hours without the use of the remote. You can also set to just on with no auto turn off. What more can I say about the appearance other than it actually looks real. I'm so impressed with these candles I just placed another order for more. Please note: The 5" or more in height uses the "C" batteries where as if you get the 4" high candle it uses the smaller batteries which won't give you as many hours of light. The video I attached shows the candles on the lowest setting because on the highest setting the light was too bright for the video. In a lighted room, the highest setting is recommended. This is what's nice about having a remote, if the room is lighted and you want to view the candles better, the high setting works great. However, in a darkened room, the lower setting makes for a more cozy setting, plus doesn't drain the batteries as fast. Thumbs up for these candles! By the way, I recommend using high quality Alkaline batteries.

I highly recommend
I love it. It's a much easier life when the power goes off, and at night, it gives light to see better. I hope the future brings 2D battery candles so they last longer. The problem I had with other brands' candles was that they were small candles that I had to keep replacing. I got tired of it and threw it away. I had an expensive brand that kept breaking the battery cover. So, I have given in to ordering this brand. I keep them in the bathroom so that I don’t have to turn the bathroom on and off. That will disturb the family's peace when they wake up. This is great, but please bring a 2D battery to keep it going longer. I do not care about the price as long as it does not break the battery cover and lasts longer than I expect, and I will be happy with it. It looks very pretty. Relaxing and very comfortable to watch a candle. I love that honest price. That was an attraction to buy it. The other expensive brand's broken battery cover is a constant issue, so I chose this one. I highly recommend.

So far, so bright!
Please know this is an INITIAL review, as we've only now begin to start using these. If this product changes course in validity, I will update our findings. Simply said, it is believed these will function and work well for the purpose in which they were obtained. Our church, like many others, have a "sanctury" or "enternal flame" that is contained within a red vase/housing hung from the upper level in the area of the church altar. For YEARS we've needed to purchase countless candles (perhaps what is known as 7-day candles) for church use. They were roughly the same size as these battery operated LED lights. A bit taller, yet a bit narrower. Needless to say, they needed a new candle swapped out each week in order to burn continuously for the duration of the week. (And, for those of you who don't know: this represents for those entering the sactuary and see this burning light, the continued presences of Christ. It is a historical tradition with an even better meaning. So, what we are doing is using this candle with two (2) rechargeable "C" batteries of good quality. We bought the charger and two sets of these batteries. In addition, the style version we purchased required us to trim the front edge of the wax surface of thise LED candle to ensure proper visibility when the fixture is raised above and higher than normal sight level. It works. It works quite nicely. The fact these came packaged in pairs is an added advantage. If a lightbulb fails, we swap it out with the second light and order another pair for reserve. This is a cost effective approach to a constantly desired candle burn. As these are expected to last 1000 hours between battery swaps, it is my estimation that this is with high quality non-rechargables and using the lowest brightless setting from the remote. We're hoping to get a full 30 days using rechargables and the brightest setting (which really isn't much of a difference). I will add additional at a later date if we learn more over time.
