Fluval 407 Motor Head Maintenance Kit for Canister Filter

Fluval canisters are pretty sturdy and reliable. I read somewhere that you should swap out the impeller and gasket once per year just jn case so I buy these parts to do that, but honestly they could probably go longer than that.

Very easy to replace the old parts it took 15 minutes and they fit perfect.

I bought this for 407 canister that was hissing and rattling, honestly I thought the thing was toast after 2 years since buying it. I bought this as a last ditch effort to solve the constant rattling and problem fixed. No more rattling or hissing (bad O-ring and impeller).

Consider the condition of the impeller. Mine had gotten older and worn. Changing the impeller system was very helpful. Ideal match to original. No difficulties with fit and improved function afterwards. Nice aquarium filter maintenance task that does not add any real time or effort to a filter change.
