Worked flawlessly. Excellent product, simple, efficient, and cuts setup time by about 90%. I just got back from vacation and had four umbrellas in the ground in under a minute. Oh my god! This is the BEST beach hack ever!!! I’ve been going to the beach all my life and finally bought my own umbrella instead of spending a fortune on rentals all week. This little gadget was so easy to use and highly effective. I actually lent it to a couple of others setting up nearby. Realll really helped get the umbrella in good and deep so it wouldn’t fly off!

Love this for digging holes for canopy poles when at the beach.

We love using a Shibumi instead of an umbrella but struggled to get holes deep and narrow enough for the poles. This tool is PERFECT and helps you get the Shibumi stable and secure deep in the sand. It helps a lot if you’re assembling on your own. We’ve had some bending of the cutting end in a few years of use in hard packed sand but it’s easy to fix with pliers. I’ve also used it to dig holes for bird house poles. Worth every penny!

Yet another simple thing that I wish I'd had many years ago! We're still rocking umbrellas at the beach, despite the proliferation of the flappers. This little piece of aluminum makes setting the umbrellas in a near-immovable condition absurdly easy. Weighs nothing. Won't rust or break. Tiny. Do YOU go to the beach? We used to spend our time at the beach holding our umbrellas up and even considered paying for the weekly umbrella service, but because of the Sand Gopher we did not have to do either! This super lightweight, easy to carry tool made umbrella set up so quick and easy and they held tight all day. BEST BEACH PURCHASE! Don’t think twice, just get it. There were 3 groups around us that asked how our umbrellas stayed so well. PROS: It does not take a lot of strength. I recommend getting the tool into the sand all the way to the curved portion for maximum stability. It takes a few times to get that deep. *Watch the video in the listing. Fits easily into a beach bag and weighs less than your phone. CONS: Carrying it to the beach could look…interesting…just like writing this review.

I’m a middle aged lady who loves the beach and likes to protect her skin. This hoke digger does everything it says! I can put up my umbrella in 2 minutes or less and it stays up no matter what the wind is doing! It helps to clear the dry sand away and be sure to shake the sand out away from your friends! Lol I bought two of these to have an extra! It fits in my beach back pack perfectly.
