RUSTIC CRUST Herb Pizza Crust, 9 OZ

I have to start by saying that the cooking directions on the package are wrong. This pizza needs to be cooked on a cookie or pizza sheet in the oven. It took me a couple tries to figure that out, but now that I know, all is well. The crust is delicate out of the package so you need to be careful getting it on the pan. Once you do, the pizza is your oyster! I've made dozens of these pizza's and love them. The crust is rich, flaky, and flavorful. Hands down the best pre-made gluten free crust I've been able to find. There's two in each pack, so it helps to have a large pan to cook both at once. Bon appetit!

I've used at least a dozen of these crusts, and my experience has been consistently bad. The taste isn't bad, for a pre-made crust, but it always falls apart, either in the package or in the oven, or both. (Maybe that's what they mean by "rustic.") The instructions specifically direct you to put the pizza on the oven rack. If you do, chances are good that it will start to disintegrate and fall through the grate with toppings plopping and burning even before you try to take it out. And when you do try to take it out, even very carefully with a thin pizza peel, using two hands, it will further collapse and you'll be lucky to have anything left to eat. I switched to heating them on a cookie sheet, but it still falls apart. Pathetic. Hard to believe people sell products this bad.

Yes, ignore the directions and cook it on a pizza pan or cookie sheet as it is fragile, and eat it with a fork; it came out slightly crunchy( rather than soggy) and we liked the taste, yum yum! Also Rustic crust needs to put a better backing on ALL their crusts as it is hard to get one (shipped or in the store) that is not damaged. New to being GLUTEN free, we are experimenting; if the packaging was better this would be a winner for us. J&J

Ew. My dad accidentally bought this pizza crust instead of the good kind and it came out of the bag in pieces, it was stale and sandy, and on top of all of that, it smelled like a wet dog or like dirt (not sure which one is a better description).They need to change the recipe.
