Despite the lack of a plastic ring at the end of the windscreen, they stay on fine and block plosives as expected. They're also nice and thick. If you have an SM59, these are also a fantastic choice. Shure discontinued the A59WS windscreen made for that microphone years ago leaving no direct replacement. Because of the lack of a plastic retainer ring on the end of these, the cost and construction makes these a great candidate to cut to the size of an A59WS for use on an SM59. They need to be cut down to about 3 1/8" for a good fit. I'll likely keep buying these in the future for that purpose.

Any foam products you order from desertcart will usually come squished and depressed. You usually either have to let them soak it or let it puff out. Anyways, this filter helped a lot. My Shure MV7 is an awesome mic but the included filter was terrible. Literally garbage. I like to have my gain cranked high and the plosives were terrible. As soon as I put this filter on, it's so much better. Night and day. Visually, it looks kinda stupid on the MV7 because it's so long and the body of the MV7 is short. It's definitely worth buying if you have an MV7. Actually, if you have an MV7, I strongly recommend it.

First off, everyone saying that it doesn't fit is wrong. You have to soak it in hot water, then wring it out and let it dry. Any foam products you order from Amazon will usually come squished and depressed. You usually either have to let them soak it or let it puff out. Anyways, this filter helped a lot. My Shure MV7 is an awesome mic but the included filter was terrible. Literally garbage. I like to have my gain cranked high and the plosives were terrible. As soon as I put this filter on, it's so much better. Night and day. Visually, it looks kinda stupid on the MV7 because it's so long and the body of the MV7 is short. It's definitely worth buying if you have an MV7. Actually, if you have an MV7, I strongly recommend it.

it fits well, it does not come with the plastic ring at the end like original but it looks like the original piece. i just bought it and so far does not interfere whit sound quality.
