The colors are vibrant and fairly easy to work with. They are water activated so you have to use a good setting spray to make sure they don't smudge or run. Also be careful not to accidentally get any of the eyeliners in your eyes bc it hurts A LOT. The brush it comes with is okay, I would recommend using a different one for any makeup art but if you don't have any other brush to use it works fine. I don't like how quickly the eyeliner dries in the palette bc I have to keep rewetting the brush and dipping it in but I've managed to make it work.
