I have purchased these several times through different vendors, and now through Amazon. In the desert southwest they don't last long due to the sun rotting the burlap, but during monsoon rains they have worked great to isolate my back porch from flooding. After the monsoons pass, I just toss them. The smaller sandbags are easy to store and all you have to do is deploy them along where you expect rain and they will expand with the water they absorb. The longer ones should always be soaked in a bucket or something first to create a seal. They do not expand fast enough if just left to expand while deployed. You can let them dry and they can be reused, but with diminishing results each time.

FAILURE These were purchased to be used against storm surge from IRMA because the information said that if properly charged they would protect against salt water. We inflated these with city water per instructions and then deployed them. Unfortunately when the surge hit they quickly deflated

Safety first, or really next time. Hurricane Irma dumped a bunch of water in my Miami condo. I wish I had them then, but... So, I researched all the products and this was the most cost-effective flood protection that I could find. The nylon bag takes up very little space in the hall closet and is ready to easily deploy and protect.

They should be thicker

Didn't work during a hurricane. Contacted seller and they would not refund my money either.

Just what we need as insurance against the occasional flooding of the backyard getting into the workshop.
