The ESCO 3 Ton Performance Jack Stand Pair (Model 10498-PAIR) is designed with incredible quality and durability. This professional grade jack stand is perfect for the home garage or shop. Uniquely designed removable flat top rubber saddle protects the car frame better than the traditional curved axle post jacks stands. Quickly and safely lock the position with the included locking pin. Circular base pads allow for maximum stability and safety. Stand has a powder coated finish to prevent rusting. Includes 2 jack stands with a rubber top posts offering exceptional grip and support. Tested to ASME standards by A2LA Certified Testing Facility.

Review: Great for SUV's and Trucks -- Too tall for most cars - This standard jack height is to high for my 2009 Honda Accord pinch welds but I measured before purchasing so it wasn't a surprise. I was able to use them under the car on the body supports after removing the pin and allowing the jack to rest at its lowest point (also removing the rubber rest at the top). The standard work perfect on our Honda Pilot and GMC Sierra 1500. If you are planning to use these jacks on a car's pinch welds, I'd recommend the low profile version otherwise for SUV or Truck the standard work just fine. The reason I choose these stands is simple, "Build Quality". If I'm going to crawl under a car, truck or suv and trust my life to them... these are the stands I trust and worth the money. Welds and material are excellent and the support of 6,000 pounds / jack shows the quality. If they would consolidate both designs that would work for both cars, SUVs and Trucks, that would be the perfect jack stand. I'm sure this could easily be designed but then you couldn't sell as many jack stands.

**Q: Does each stand has 3 ton capacity or 2 stands = 3 ton?**
A: Each Jack has a 6000 pound capacity sticker - ie 3 tons each. The jacks are very well built - most important if getting under the car.

**Q: Where are these made?**
A: They are currently made in China. Previous versions may have been made in the USA but not anymore.

**Q: I hate to spend money with the communist enemy of the usa.  are there  good, usa alternatives to these chinese made jacks?**
A: These jackstands are awesome.  I use them under my jetta because (1) they are super stable (the feet are large) and the rubber pad top fits in the grooves on the unibody jack points to support my car without putting unnecessary stress on the sheet metal "pinch points".

As for where they're made...  no one in the US or any of its compatriots manufacture things like this anymore.  Especially not for this kind of pricing.  If you wanted to pay $200-$300 for a pair of them you might be able to get a welder to make some for you.  Otherwise, quit whining and buy your jackstands.

**Q: How will the pad hold up if I put the pinch welds of my Highlander right on top of it?  It weighs about 4,200 - 4,500 lbs.**
A: My pads split under a miata (2400 lbs) after a few uses. Buy pinch weld pads
