It's more of a cream or an ecru, I don't see any yellow in it.

Is it suitable for casual slipcovers?

I used it to back baby washcloths as well as washcloths for the face. I would not personally use it as a casual slipcover.

How wide is this fabric, please?

I'm not sure, as I have already used mine in smaller pieces. I know it was over 54 but see someone else said 60 so that's probably correct.I loved the quality of this chenille.
