Maiden England '88 [2 CD]

Awesome seller! Item arrived ahead of original delivery date which I appreciated. I listened to this 2 disc cd and the audio quality is amazing. It is better than some remastered versions of some cds. I have the Maiden England '88 DVD concert and now with this purchase I have the matching CD concert which I've been trying to find for a long time.

I was raised a fan of Maiden, and I have been really loving them more and more as I get older. I have Live After Death, Donnington, and Rock in Rio. I always enjoy listening to them, and often make a playlist of them in Chronological order and listen to them all straight through (they are good enough I don't mind hearing a few songs 3 times in a row).I heard about the Maiden England tour and had resolved to move heaven and earth to travel to see it, because I had yet to see them live, but to my surprise they had Salt Lake City on the tour, the first stop here in over 20 years! So August 1 2012 I went to the show and was blown away by how good it was, and how great the set list was.So then I heard that this album was being remastered so since it is a good chance to get some Seventh Son songs live versions (among others) and relive the great concert I was lucky enough to see last year. Needless to say I really loved this album. This album, just like the other live ones, seems to have its own personality, and I had no problem adding it to my playlist and listening to Live after Death, this one, Donnington, and Rock in Rio. They are all unique and each is a time-capsule from it's respective era.The sound is really crisp, and it is probably my second favorite (Live after Death is still top dog) of the live albums that I have heard.The Price seemed a bit steep at nearly 20 bucks (been a long time since I paid that much for an album) but it is worth every penny.

I'm not sure why they pulled this one off the shelf now, since they just released a live album showcasing their latest material last year, but I'm glad they did. This is a fantastic remaster with all of the instruments distinct in the mix. I'm still training my ear, but I can make out each guitar more often than not. The song selection is phenomenal, showcasing classic cuts from "The Number of the Beast", "Somewhere in Time", and "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" and performed at full throttle. A worthwhile purchase if you want to hear a live band at the top of their game.

If you like the Seventh Son album, then you need to get the Maiden England live album for their live set from the Seventh Son tour. Good selection of songs, including 6 of the 8 songs on the Seventh Son album. The 3 song encore was added to this 2013 re-release and they are mixed by Kevin Shirley who has produced all the Maiden albums since 2000's Brave New World.The main drawback to the album is Steve Harris' bass. You can hear his bass, but it doesn't have much of a bass sound. It's sounds very metallic. Unless this is the sound he went for, it sounds more like they recorded the line out from his bass before any processing or effects and thus there is no low-end bass sound.

Can't get better than live Iron Maiden. This one has it plus more.

It is impossible to beat Live After Death, but this is an great album. The production is excellent although the last three songs mixed by a different person do not have the same tight, punchy low end the rest of the album has. But don't let that deter you from picking this up.

um dos melhores ao vivo da banda, me agrada o repertório, pois foi gravado durante a turnê de um dos melhores discos do Maiden, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, fiquei receoso em fechar o pedido, pois li uma avaliação dizendo que saiu o dobro do preço devido a taxas, meu receio era que além do valor pago ainda poderia ser taxado no Brasil, felizmente isso não ocorreu, paguei somente o valor anunciado, na verdade acho que a pessoa queria dizer que fica o dobro de um CD nacional, isso é verdade e acontece com qualquer produto importado.

I was fifteen, spotty and in awe of the mighty Maiden. For me this is essential in my Maiden collection, however I may be have slightly rose tinted spec re the actual quality of the recordings.I managed to get good tickets and was near the front and remember it like it was yesterday, when in fact it was nearly 35 years ago, this cd is able to catch some of that, but it isn't as good as Live after Death (what is) or even Beast over Hammersmith.
