These are awesome
I use them for plants that hang on the side of my pond.I also use them for a base in my Black Hole Skimmers pond skimmer. They are sturdy enough to fill with pebbles or rocks, and also easy enough to cut with scissors so I can feed a 1" hose into it. I am really glad that these are available and at a reasonable price.

Make great pond lily planters
I made 2 of these for far less than the $35 ready made pond planters! Cut a pool noodle a bit less than the length of each side x 4. Then cut each piece lengthwise creating a slit - do not cut noodle in half, just cut through one side. Slip the noodle pieces over the top of each side. Cut a sheet of landscaping fabric large enough to fit the bottom, sides and over the pool noodles. Tuck the fabric into the bottom of the basket and over each side, tucking the fabric under the outside edge of each pool noodle to hold it in place. Secure each noodle piece with a cable tie (12" long) about 1.5" from each end - 2 ties per side (8 ties total). Cut off end of tie close to the clamp. Fill with soil & plants. Planter will float with about 1/2" above the surface. Perfect for pond lilies - koi can't eat the lily roots!

Appear Well Made
The 10-inch TotalPond Aquatic Plant Basket appears to be a well made light weight basket. Unfortunately they didn't work out for the intended project. They appear to be as advertised. However, I have no idea how well they would support pond plants.

Great basket for planting, the purchase limits are absurd
I've been using these baskets for pre-bonsai development and smaller yamadori development. After a few years I haven't had any crack on me, and that is with the basket filled with pumice/lava/clay/etc and moving around quite a bit.Good size, good value, and my only complaint is the 3 at a time purchase limit...to try and get you into Amazon's subscribe and save program?! To avoid resellers??! Makes no sense, if I want to buy 5, 10, 50 baskets (I have about 20 of these at this point) just let me buy them in bulk like I would at a nursery supplier. 5 star product, inane limitations on purchase quantity.

Well-built pond basket with uniform grids
Very well-made pond baskets with very uniformly spaced openings.I bought this for bonsai development rather than aquatic horticulture and it holds structure and weight even under 2 gallons of heavy substrate (lava rock and pumice).
