How long is the power cord?

The power cord is 6 feet long. There is also a compartment inside the Envi Heater to easily store any excess cord length.

Does the back actually get very hot as one review states? If so, can insulation be used to buffer the wall from the heat?

We are familiar with the review you are referencing. The back of the unit does not get hot enough to damage the wall, this customer is mistaken. 135 degrees is not going to harm your wall, nor is it able to cook bacon. For a point of reference the common default setting for your homes hot water heater is putting 140 degree water through the pipes on the inside of the wall. This unit presents no fire hazard.

Does the front of the unit get hot?

The front panel of the Envi Heater will only get slightly warm and does not exceed 90 deg F.

Would this be good for a small bathroom that is unheated and has cold tile floor? Would infrared be better?
